GPS works well, but CPU is too slow for Pokemon-GO!
I’m looking for an inexpensive Android tablet just to play Pokemon Go via WiFi hotspot. On paper this Aoson M815 tablet (here) looks like a good fit, since the product page stated it has GPS and 2GB RAM. But my actual testing revealed its limitation.First, the good news:The accuracy of location service is very good when it is set to High Accuracy (GPS + WiFi). When I play Pokemon GO on this tablet side-by-side with my cell phone, the two displays show almost identical location for my avatar. In contrast, a previous Schok Mini Tablet (here) I tested also claims to have GPS, but it uses WLAN and cell towers to provide approximate location only.Next, the Bad news:The graphic display is very sluggish when playing Pokemon GO. This makes it very frustrating when trying to capture a Pokemon, especially when there is too much animation going on. The touchscreen response lags so much that it is impossible to throw a curve-ball. This indicates that the tablet’s CPU speed is inadequate.[CPU Performance]I used a benchmark program called '3DMARK' to determine the CPU and GPU speed for this tablet. Here are the scores for the “Ice Storm Unlimited” benchmark:- Graphic (GPU) = 4321- Physics (CPU) = 8836- Overall = 4875See the comparison chart I uploaded, which ranks the 3DMark results for several tablets/phones I purchased over the past six years. The Aoson tablet is positioned right in the middle, between the 2015 Amazon Fire 7” tablet and the 2016 Amazon Fire 8” tablet. This is very disappointing for a 2018 model.[Battery Life]I benchmarked the runtime, by using 'BSPlayer Free' to play a MKV file continuously (WiFi off, brightness at 50%, volume ~20%). The battery meter drops by approximately 17.5% every hour. Based on linear interpolation, I estimate the battery can provide ~5 hours of movie playback, before low-battery warning comes up at 14%. This is on par with battery life for most of the cheap tablets I tested. [Bottom Line]The GPS function of this Aoson M815 tablet works as advertised. However, I’m disappointed to find out that its CPU is just too slow for playing Pokemon Go. To be fair, its performance is still adequate for less demanding games such as Castle Clash. Since the product page never claims that it is capable of running Pokemon Go, I have no excuse to return it. So now, I’m stuck with yet another low-performance cheap tablet.

Great speed & graphics
out of 10 of my games the only one I have any problem with is Board Kings it likes to crash a bit. Marvel Contest Of Champions & Marvel Battle Lines run awesome. I have has an Asus Zen Pad for just over a year & had bad issues with it. I am very happy with this Aoson The only thing that i find rough is the charger cord is on top left so when I play MCoC it is right at my fingers where I have to play with my left hand in landscape. The graphics/colors are a great deep rich look. Processor speed is wonderful. Very nice for the low price.

Great!
For the price you can't beat this tablet. I bought it for my 4-year-old to replace an old outdated tablet that didn't update anymore. The OS is clean with no bloatware and the tablet is speedy. My son plays games and watches videos on it with no issues. It plays everything he wants with no stutters. Are there better tablets available? Yes. Are there better tablets available for this price? I'm going to have to say no.

Too Fragile
This is not a bad tablet..... just a very fragile one. This is the second time I have had the screen shatter from a minimal drop shock. Less than 2 feet. This kind of irreparable damage should never happen from slipping off someones lap. This is now a $100 brick as no-one can repair the extensive damage. Also, this was in a case when the damage occurred. So, if you live in a glass house with shock proof flooring this is the tab for you. If you live in the normal world, this is not for you. I did really enjoy the overall performance of this unit however, the inferior construction really makes this a bad buy. Recommendation: DON'T BUY

It cost $97.70 to buy, and free to return. Thanks amazon.
Take your chance. My warning is, DON'T BUY!I wanted to use mirroring, but it wouldn't find my tv or my theater system. Both are on WiFi.I used 5 different mirroring apps, none helped. When you open a site on Google, half the text is chopped at the bottom.Battery got too warm after 30 minutes. I have 2 tablets to compare. The screen doesn't feel nice when moving the finger across it.You have to use the on/off button to wake up the screen. Like a phone, not like a tablet.2gb ram worked slower than a 4 year old 8" tablet with 2gb ram.Looking for apps, it didn't compare in quantity to the old 8" tablet.WiFi signal never reached 100%, compared again with the 4 year old tablet, it always had the top arch missing and so was the reception of websites. Slow.Again. It's your choice. I recommend to look for a known brand and pay a little more.

Just slow.
I really like this tablet. It is however a slow poke. Use it for Netflix and the like and it streams fine, just navigation is slow. Have to expect this with its specs. Still I use it in bed to watch tv streaming. Good picture.

Poor speakers
You get what you pay for. It works. 2G memory is nice. *really* poor speaker. Expect to use head phones if you want to do any media.Revising this to one star. Really cheap plastic screen. Put it in a case and packed it away. Screen cracked. Now unusable
