Dip/Snuff Can Topper
I purchased this lid over a year ago and absolutely love it. I have had several friends and coworkers comment on and even ask where I found it. Several friends both in and out of the service ask where they could get one with their branch insignia. I will most definitely purchase another topper from this seller again.

Attractive lid...white residue with use
Ordered this direct from manufacture a few years back (Amazon is since selling them too). Great looking lid and they can do almost any design and color. I got the blue USN. Back then the company offered these more as a side business to their aluminum machining primary business. So it took awhile to get, but it seems like maybe they're focusing more on these lids now since shipping times seem faster. Biggest complaint is after time, some kind of white residue starts to form on the inside of the lid. It looks like the calcium/lime build-ups you see around sinks with hard water. It's about that hard to clean as well. Scraping doesn't really work. Have not tried grit paper yet, but that might help. Sometimes I see little white flakes in the dip itself from this residue. Hopefully it won't kill me anymore than the dip will! Also you will need to take a file or knife and scrape around the inside lip of the lid every now and then to clean out dried tobacco that cakes up. I used to use these decorative lids all the time back when they used the waxed cardboard cans. Since moving to plastic cans the lids can be harder to find. This is a nice lid at a decent price if you can overlook that white stuff.
