Finally, we have this book in English! Its a great story about one of the best investors/entrepreneurs of our time! I downloaded the book at 11PM an could not put it down. I am almost 50% done with it. Its super entertaining and specially revealing of the trio's philosophy and practices. I think this book is great for entrepreneurs in economies with no stock market. How you can increase value through acquisitions and great management techniques.April 25: Done reading the book in just two days. It was fantastic. Very revealing. Forget about startups, or all that crap. Hard work, efficiency, benchmarking a cost control is where it is all about. Also for people that are looking for more detail about variable pay, you can contact Insper Institute ([email protected]) and ask for the english version of AE-P0010 | AE-E0010 Banco de Investimentos Garantia .

How Brazilians evolved from pupils to owners of American icons
Very well written, lots of details, pleasure to read.Recommend this to anyone interested in business. The book had a good balance of details and coverage of three decades of learning and transitions of the partners of 3G. While it is fun to enjoy the success of investment as a partner or shareholder, I can imagine, it will not be fun to be employee of a 3G owned company. To some extent, success of companies like 3G contributed to rise of the likes of Trump and Sanders. The book certainly pleases the 3 partners, but I thought it could also show a bit more of the other side, namely, employees.

A great story !
Simply one of the best business biographies I have read, right up there with The Box, Cable Cowboys, and The Outsiders. Lemann & friends have created and exported an incredible business philosophy. Hire great people, incentivize the heck out of them, and be frugal. It sounds easy, but most companies have trouble mastering even one of these tenets.Reading Bitter Brew, a Budweiser history, made me very sad to see how a great American powerhouse had been basically given away by an idiot son. However, after reading Dream Big, it's clear Bud deserved to fall..

What a great book. It was riveting and i didnt want to stop reading it. These brazilians are building an empire, an philosophy, a brand so powerful that you can see it in your everyday life. (Beer, Ketchup, Burgers and Banking) This book really gives you a sense of what good managment can do to a company. However, in today's "lets be fair to everyone" philosophy not all these management tactics would work. What this book demonstrates is capitalism at its finest. Work hard, be loyal, and be rewarded.

Jorge Paulo Lemann, 3G Capital, and Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway
Decent book, if ghastly overpriced and in need of better editing. It is, however, one of the only books I could find about Jorge Paulo Lemann and his 3G Capital. The fact that they own/control/operate AB InBev, the largest brewery in the world; Burger King + Tim Hortons; and, now, The Kraft Heinz Company; make's 'em players I'd like to know about. The partnership with Buffet is intriguing and exciting for investors in Berkshire Hathaway!

Excellent reading about 3G founders and their business philosophy
This book provides an understanding about business tenets of Marcel Telles, Jorge Paulo Lemann and Beto Sicupira - 3G founders. It is a compeling story of great business successes (Garantia, Lojas Americanas, Ambev) based on a unique philosophy : meritocracy, cost-cutting, continuous business improvement.

Good Read
Though it was very insightful, it was a very long and extended publishing article as some other reviewers have commented. The translation could have been better. There were sentences throughout the book that didn't make any sense (though you could still understand what was going on; I presume this will get cleaned up in the next edition). I would recommend the book as it was quick and easy read, but don't expect to walkaway with a management bible on how these guys run their business. Go grab a Jim Collins book if you're looking for that.
