I treated myself to this chef knife set recently and I have to say, they are absolutely gorgeous. The natural wood handles are stunning and feel great in the hand. Each knife has a nice weight to it and seems well-balanced. They definitely look way more expensive than they actually were. The included gift box is a classy touch too - makes it feel like a real high-end set.However, I was a bit disappointed with the sharpness out of the box. For being marketed as "ultra sharp", they didn't quite live up to my expectations. Don't get me wrong, they're not completely dull, but they struggled a bit with tougher foods like butternut squash and thick cuts of meat. I ended up having to give them a quick sharpen with my whetstone before really putting them to use.But overall, I'm still happy with the purchase. The knives are beautiful and feel solid in the hand. The variety of sizes is great for tackling different kitchen tasks. Just be prepared to do a bit of sharpening when you first get them to really make them sing. With a little TLC, they're a wonderful addition to my knife collection.

I am impressed with this chef knife collection. With what it includes as well as the quality of the knives. The knives came very sharp as expected. I wanted to replace a knife collection I had for over 20 years that had wooden handles like these. So, this along with the quality of the wooden handles made me very happy. Two of the knives were butcher knives, one being a slightly different angle than the other, but both were impressive butcher knives. Then there was a very nice big bread knife to cut slices of bread from loaves of bread and a smaller knife. Not sure what the smaller knife is called. Bigger than a steak knife. The box it came in is nice and closes with a magnet. I was debating on either putting them in my old wooden block or keeping them in their box since the box was so nice. I chose the block only because it was easier to access the knives from it than the box. I recommend this knife set if these are the type of knives you are looking for and want. I am quite happy with them.

Nice handle, easy to hold, nice weight. I would not call them "ultra sharp", but they are sufficient. They come in a nice box making them giftable, but afterwards the box is pretty impractical. The three knife set includes a bread knife, a utility knife and a chef's knife. The four piece set adds a 7 inch knife for essentially another $20. I don't use that type of knife very often so it isn't a big deal to me.

Our kitchen knives were due for an upgrade and I am so happy we went with set!! The handles are very comfortable in hand and allow for easy use and the blades are fantastically sharp, they cut through everything as smooth as butter.Value wise, I would have liked if it had came with a sharpener and a block or carry case which makes it not as good of a gift-able item. I would also recommend hand washing only. Our kids had accidentally loaded in the dishwasher (pre-run) and the blades were already beginning to have harsh water marks.Other than that I am very satisfied with these knives so far and have put them to some good use already!

These knives are of wonderful quality! The packaging it top notch with good foam to hold the knives and each corner of the knives had a protective plastic cover on it. I washed them up by hand before use and the only complaint I have is after washing them the wooden handle feels dry and I don't like that feeling in my hand. The handles are natural wood, which is beautiful, and doesn't have a clear coat on it to protect the wood from drying out. I do think I will be using some mineral oil on them before the next use. Hopefully that will help the wood stay nice and feel better in my hands.

First, I appreciate the packaging of these knives. It was thought out and packaged extremely well. There were guards on the blades to ensure you weren't cut/injured. There was a foam cut-out atop each knife to keep them in place during travel. I really appreciate the time that was put into the packaging.I like the weight of these knives. They're not too light and they're not too heavy. The texture of the handles is nice to grip. The blades are pretty nice quality. This is definitely a nice set of knives to work with. I give my highest recommendation.
