CT Sounds Hydro 10” Dual 2-Ohm 1000-Watt Shallow Mount Car Subwoofer

Absolutely the best subwoofers I've ever bought! They total slam and dont distort or pop. Im very happy with them. I will definitely be buying more stuff from CT in the future!

2000 Tahoe. Great factory upgrade. Had to open up factory box to get a fit using diesel tool with diamond barrel and sanding barrel. Otherwise, these sound great..wire to 2ohm factory too.

Good so far! Wired it parallel to 2 ohms. It's it a shallow box and sounds good, but would definitely sound better in a slightly bigger box. Installed about two weeks ago so we'll see if it lasts! Oh and you may have to open you box hole up some depending on the box as these have slightly bigger frames. I had already opened mine up, just used a jig saw and only had to give it about 1/8th all the way around. I had to get adjust my tuning some because this had a lower sensitivity than my infinity ref1000s

I needed a shallow sub for the box I bought on Amazon. This just barely fit. I had a huge, MB Quart dual 12”, sub box that I built for my previous car and I had moved it over to my Mazda 3, and the amp had lost a channel. I bought a Rockville Amp on Amazon to replace it. Then just decided to build a smaller, single, down-firing 12” sub-box, so that I could gain some cargo space. I bridged the amp and added a port, legs, and a speaker guard and it turned out great and takes up minimal space. This thing really thumps! The amplifier is a Rockville RXA T-1.For the money, this combo really delivers. I recommend both the driver and the amp, if you want to build a great, budget sub box. I purchased all of this on Amazon, including the port, the speaker protector bars, and the 20 ft RCA cable. All products rank at least four if not five stars.

Thought I would try one of these in place of my Skar VD-10. Quality is alright but the VD hits harder, sounded better and takes more power. The CT shallow is decent, but for hits application the Skar VD is a better choice.

These subs hit hard. I am running 2 subs wired to 2 ohms with a 2ohm stable amp pushing 2000 watts. I haven't even got to half volume and they are rocking.

Great build quality and sound for a shallow mount 10in. I’m sure this thing really has a lot of potential in the right box but I had to use the smallest box I could find since I installed this in a Kenworth dump truck. I’ve owned multiple subs and never noticed a difference after a break in but this thing continues to get better with time. I listen to it pounding all day 10-12hrs a day powered by a ct sounds 400.1d compact amp with no issues. Will definitely buy agin for future projects.
