Book is too generalized for women over 21.
The books are very simplified for the novice who knows nothing about getting dressed. I wanted to give them for presents to ladies in my age group 70-75 and they definitely would give them to their preteen granddaughters. It was advertised as something to be more sophisticated but it is very light in pages and I would like to return the three out of the four if I can. I will show them to my friends this weekend and get their opinions first.

Gift for my girlfriend - she loved it
I read the book after hearing the author speak at Fashionistacon in NYC - brilliant and articulate. My girlfriend loves the content and the fresh approach. Thank you!

Short!
I was a little surprised how abrupt the ending is. It really felt a little rushed, and more about basic style points. I don’t think there was anything here that stood out as more interesting than just basic information.

Lacks substance
While I think she has a talent as a stylist, she does not as an author. The book lacks substance. I did not learn anything new. I saw her interviewed on TV and the book was suppposed to be full of successful stylist tips but it did not.

Good and thorough review of accessories and how to wear them. Would have liked more info linking body type to choice of accessory (for example necklace length) rather than generic advice to know your body.
I liked the tips on organizing and storing accessories as well as what colors / items were considered the basics.

Too basic -
Read it in an hour and didn’t find anything new, creative or insightful. It’s basic information that you can find in any fashion magazine or cable TV show.Sound like she is very talented and good at what she does, but her skill and finesse doesn’t translate well in her book.
