Excellent Induction cooktop
The NuWave PIC Double Induction Cooktop is very versatile as a supplemental cooking appliance or even as the primary unit (for maybe up to 3 people). It has all the advantages of any induction cooktop, i.e. efficient use of energy (by heating the pot or pan directly rather than a countertop as in a conventional electric stove), easy to clean, fast heating and cooling, temperature and power control, etc. This NuWave PIC Double unit specifically outshines other induction cooktops in several ways :- It has one of the largest heating coils in the market (8 inch diameter)- It has two identical burners that can be used simultaneously- It has a maximum power output of 1800 W (down selectable to 900 W)- It has a very large number of temperature settings (5 degree F steps)- It has an excellent capability for programming a temp/time profile for a complete cooking session, including delays for adding ingredients- It has 50 pre-programmed and up to another 50 user programmable profiles (or recipes) that are stored in non-volatile memory- It has a clock so users can either start or stop a cooking session at a pre-specified time- The overall layout, display panels are very pleasing and the unit is quite robust yet light enough to move it aroundIn my opinion, the only feature missing is the ability to automatically adjust the two burners' power levels continuously while keeping the total power consumption at 1800 W (it currently switches to a fixed 900 W for both burners, regardless of the actually needed power levels). Also the NuWave customer support is very responsive to any pre-purchase question or concerns. I have not needed to contact them after the purchase yet.Overall the NuWave PIC Double Induction Cooktop is a great buy and an excellent product.

No heat
I had to replace the one that I melted on the stove. I really like the fact that it cooks without the heat of a regular stove top. It heats up quickly and is ready to use in minute or less.

Experiment is a success
Needed to replace my standard electric stove as it’s aging. Wanted to see if the benefits of induction cooking worked for me. Bought this unit as one burner would not be enough. So, it’s working out great. Not yet used my stove since. Heat pans FAST. Minimal extraneous heat. Grandson likes idea he can put his hand up close to the pan and not get burned. Keeps my kitchen much cooler. Now the drawback is that the temperature settings of the preprogrammed buttons is extremely far off the real temps. To the extent of each temp will be like over 30% higher that stated. So, I’ve had to run a number of tests to develop my own chart of temperature values for the buttons. Still, the fact that the elements respond instantly to changes or to turn off is real handy. My plan is to mount it in a new countertop as soon as I remove the old stove. I’m happy overall.

control
I have owned the Nuwave2 for over 10 years and the New Pic Gold for 2 years. I have looked for the Dual Nuwave for about 3 years and could never find it for sale, not even on Nuwave's official site. I couldn't believe I found it finally on Amazon. I have done most all my canning on my old Nuwave 2. and just about wore out the push controls. The sleekness and Digital controls are wonderful. Easier to use and easier to clean. The higher temp is great for certain cooking as the older single ones only reached 1300. I also love the On/Off switch rather than having to unplug all the time. The precise cook temps and the Time Cook are my main reason for loving this unit. In my 80's I sometimes forget but the time control lets me cook with no worries, not to mention the fact that making candies, fudge, sauces and home made jams and jellies is virtually fool proof. I rarely use my gas stove anymore other than baking bread but an essential to have when the power goes out. I have always cooked with Gas or Wood and have never liked electric or glass top stoves but Induction gives you the Best cooking experience unlike Out Dated Electric cook tops. Everyone should have this in their home.

Love this thing!
I waited a few months before writing a review mostly due to the fact that I was skeptical of it. Don’t wait, pull the trigger! It works great! I use it in my RV and not only does it keep the heat down it’s easily sets the temp to where you need it. Only hang up for me was the fact that you can’t handle your pan for very long without it on the top but it’s induction so I’m not knocking it for that. If it errors out you can quickly press start and it’s right back to temp!

Great cooktop
My two burner cooktop was slowly dying. It was time for a new one and many of my friends had mentioned induction cooktops. I live aboard our boat, as do many of my friends, hence the reason we use cooktops. Anyway, I have been using mine now for a month and I love it. It heats quickly, boils water in what feels like five minutes or less. It is super easy to clean and looks nice sitting on the counter. As long as it gives me more than two years of service I will continue to give it high ratings.

Induction Stovetop
Nice backup to my gas stove. Easy to use. Heats up immediately and is safe because it turns off when you remove your pan. Plan to buy another one for my boat. Safer than regular electric or gas because even if you forget to turn it off / it dies it for you. Medium weight for the size and pretty low profile. Recommend this cooking device.

Love it !
I had a single one but needed to be able to cook two things at once. This one fits nicely on top of my 5th wheel stove. I use this to avoid using up propane. I can even use it outside ANYWHERE ! Heats up nice and evenly. LOVE the pre programmed settings as well as being able to modify the temps. The included cookbook also has temp suggestions. Wipes clean easily. I do wish it had come with a travel cover of some sort for safekeeping at least. I’d buy one if they made it.
