I saw many people expressed their opinions about the country of origin. I'll give my two cents here as well. I buy most of my food online, so I research and update my preferred country of origin list on a regular basis. I buy mostly from the U.S. (of course, because I live here), European countries (EU has the stricest regulations on anything!), Japan (because they have very strict regulations on their produce and food products.) I also start buying more food from China, Singapore, and Malaysia. China's economy is good, and their infrastructure and health regulations have improved a lot (at least comparing to what it was ten years ago!) I traveled to China a few years ago. The places were surprisingly modern. When I researched on their agriculture and food production, they had improved a great deal and in my opinion it was already up to our standard in the U.S. - of course the media wouldn't tell you that ;) I actually buy more food made in Singapore, Malaysia, and China nowadays. These Asian countries' economy is more robust when comparing to most other Asian countries. When a country's economy is doing well, their government tends to care more about their people's health. (Sadly, we need money to care for our health.) I have stopped buying food from India, Thailand, and Vietnam, because they have sanitation issues in my opinion.

what is the "California Proposition 65 Safety Warning" specifically referring to in your product?

All plant products have trace levels of lead and other heavy metals in them, but the actual amount is so small that the FDA does not consider it to be a threat. So even though it’s safe, companies have to put the warning on the bag otherwise they can’t legally sell their product in California which law is much stricter.

Gmo are seeds that are genetically modified organisms which are man-made and not by Mother Nature. Organic means the crop wasn't sprayed with chemicals and preservatives. Is that correct?
