Folding Pocket 0839 Knife,Mini Portable Multifunctional Tool Knife for Outdoor Camping

I found out that the pen knife I had been carrying for years on my keyring was actually illegal due to a locking mechanism, so I bought this to replace it.It's a sharp knife, with a high carbon steel blade. The sheath is sturdy and well built. It sticks to my magnetic key hook really well.The shape of the blade is good, the slot in the blade is great for purchase when opening the knife. The blade satisfyingly clicks open, and requires a nice amount of pressure to manually close it, and it stays closed well.A quality, fit for purpose, pen knife. I'm extremely pleased with it.

Great small size, weighty meaty feeling little knife quality you'd expect in a much bigger penknife, easy to open and close. Great piece of kit.

Although the knife seems to be well made and solid it came with the blade damaged, as you can just about see in the picture, unfortunate otherwise would have been 5 stars**UPDATE**Seller reached out to me and sent a replacement within two days, replacement item is perfect, blade is sharp and again solid knife ideal for everyday carry

You get what you pay for and this wasn't expensive. The finish isn't great and the material isn't as good as the photos imply plus the movement of the blade is a bit rough. The blade doesn't lock but a folding knife usually has resistance to stop it closing easily... this knife doesn't even have that. If I lose it I'm not going to cry.

This is a D2 carbon steel blade for less than 15 pounds. Its very cheap.D2 carbon steel is a reasonably big deal when it comes to knife edge retention. Its a tool steel and very tough. It can hold an edge better than the 400 range of stainless steel, carbon and high carbon steel. Its close to, but not on par with, 1000 range carbon steel blades for edge retention. Id recommend sharpening the D2 blade to a 15 degree edge or 20 degrees max, making it as sharp as a razor blade. D2 carbon steel can hold an edge that sharp for longer.The handle is also made of carbon steel in the 400 range of steel. That makes it really strong for what it is. Plus it has a nice metal loop on the end to attach to a key chain, etc.Just remember, with carbon steel you must keep it clean. Rinse it under the tap with warm water then dry it, followed by wiping it down with a micro fiber cloth and (food grade) mineral oil, vegetable oil or the like to prevent rust.Its the kind of pocket knife you keep for small yet demanding tasks. Its strong and will get the job done. And it saves you using any other pocket knife you may own from being damaged in said tasks.Its a really good deal for what it is.

The media could not be loaded. Made of D2 steel, sturdy and has some good weight to it. Good as an EDC on key chain with keys or more tools. Used it countless times and blade stays sharp. Well designed and legal to carry in the UK. Easy to use and good value for money. If oiled it will feel less stiff.
