GUNNAR - Blue Light Reading Glasses - Blocks 65% Blue Light - Vertex

I can't live without my Gunnar readers. I have purchased many other brands as I only need readers at this point in my life. This brand is in my opinion the best out there. The comfort, clarity and the lens also cuts the blue light like no other readers I've tried. I've spent quite a bit of money on readers throughout the years and I always go back to this brand. Every time I see the price drop, I buy another pair just to have them on hand because I keep forgetting where I leave them l o l. Sometimes the dog grabs them and eats them, so apparently they taste good too! I do wish they had more frames to choose from. Other than that, you can't beat these. They're excellent value, yes, you can get some cheap readers but why if you're just gonna keep replacing them constantly, because cheap readers don't last long, in my opinion. I wear mine about fourteen hours a day and these have saved my eyes. I don't feel any eye strain throughout the day after staring at the computer and I don't have headaches like I used to not to mention the line that was developing between my eyes on my forehead from squinting, has greatly dissipated after switching to this brand.

These are great for my purposes. I have astigmatism and use reading glasses for reading, watching TV, and driving. I got the 1.50X versions, as my previous 1.25X ones weren't 'cutting the mustard', as they say. These lower-power glasses don't have enough magnification to cause problems judging distance, etc., yet they do a great job allowing me to see details both up close and afar. I also like that these are yellow-tinted, which is a big help in preventing eyestrain and headaches caused while viewing phone/computer screens and the overwhelming blue light prevalent on gray days. They also have the added safety advantage of emphasizing warm colors like red lights and stop signs.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I had previously purchased a similar pair of Gunnar glasses, except that they weren't reading glasses. I liked the style and seemed pretty well made. When I noticed this pair were on sale I decided to give them a try. I'm very glad I did! The only thing I'd say to be aware of is that you will likely need to get a stronger pair than what you typically use. I had ordered a +1.5 pair since that's what I normally use, but when they arrived, I found they weren't strong enough. So, I gave that pair to my wife which are perfect for her, and I ordered another pair of +2.0. This turned out to be just right for my needs. Value for money: I thought $50 was a bit much, so I waited until they went on sale for about $20 off. Color: Onyx is classic and looks nice.

Great for blocking blue light out. I have a different cheap pair of blue light glasses, and these are far better. A little narrow for my head but they still work great.

I see reviews about blur or ghosting to the side.....Well, if you need reading glasses and want to block blue light and clarify your gaming, these work. Don't buy these to magnify the game. They work great as reading glasses if you need them. If you don't need reading glasses things will blur. Buy the ones that don't have magnification. The ghosting off to the side is the blue light. You can see it off to the corner of the screen you are looking at. I don't know about you but when I am playing a game, anything that happens off the screen does not matter. The house could start on fire and I don't look two inches to the side of the screen. I had non magnified versions and they were great, even while driving. Then I needed reading glasses and bought the 1.5 version. They are great. I don't use them to drive because they blur at a distance like all reading glasses. These are great and well worth the investment. I have owned three pairs, my non magnified for a year, no problems and then the 1.5 I bought and another set of 1.5 for my office at work. They don't break. Not sure how big of heads those who complain about breaking them have or if they are just too lazy to take them off like a normal person because they are rage quitting and one hand ripping them off their heads but I have no problem with them after a year and then another 5 months on the others. If you are breaking them, they are not your controller you throw down, they are glasses. Take care of them and enjoy the benefits. Good game all.

Optics seem good. Clear viewing, however mine arrived USED. Shipping was slow, and box was badly damaged as it was shipped in a plastic bag. Box was already opened when received (sealing label had already been cut through). Guess I'm grateful they weren't completely crushed in transit, but be aware that you are NOT buying NEW glasses. Mine had some face grease on the frames, and the frames are not the same as the photo (logo on the side is different), so for all I know they might be fakes. Pretty gross if I'm honest.

This is my second pair I purchased as my work pair, I've bought over 20 different blue light blockers from Amazon and these are the best by far, clear, crisp and very comfortable frames, stop looking and buy These you'll be glad you did

I've orders several blue blocker computer glasses of various tints and types. These ones are excellent. The color is not too dark to keep me from seeing the screen clearly but they keep my eyes from getting tired when I am on the computer for long hours. Plus they are comfortable.

Good but broke two from the side hinge not sure why

Having read a number of negative reviews I ignored them and bought these glasses as a cheap backup to my prescribed glasses. They cost 10% of what I paid for a very nice pair of glasses with high quality frames and lenses. They are so comfortable I have just ordered 2 additional pairs just in case I break or lose the current pair. At this price point it is such good value. It’s possible the reviews you read are accurate regarding breakage but you are unlikely to find another pair of reading glasses of this quality and comfort for this price.
