This halter is a great training halter for my 3 year old filly. It’s not the super stiff kind which can make rubs even after a short time due to just the action of the horse moving on the lunge. Luckily my filly doesn’t need that level of correction.It’s pliable and conforms to the horse’s face - which is great for my still growing monster - and it’s strong enough to ask for her to move forward instead of up when she’s feeling particularly sparkly.I am buying a second one because 1. Not only is it a fantastic halter for the price, but I love the teal color, and 2. My husband managed to mow the first one when he was cutting grass near the ring right after a lunge lesson and didn’t see the halter and lead rope hanging off the fence.These halters are strong but don’t stand up to a Gravely 72 inch, three bladed, welded steel, American made cutting deck.

What an amazing halter! I've always been a fan of Natural Horsemanship, and I recently acquired a somewhat obnoxious [and rather LARGE] mare who absolutely did not respect me, and would constantly just yank the lead rope right out of my hands and do whatever the hell she pleased. With this halter [attached to the matching 12 foot lead rope sold by these same sellers], I definitely got her attention, and now she is an [almost perfect] amazingly attentive and behaved lady when I lead her. This halter has a really strong and stiff feel to it without being bulky at all, and so far, she hasn't pulled on it and yanked the lead rope out of my hands once. The stiffness and knot placement are perfect for leading a strong-willed mare or conducting an impromptu "longeing for respect" session. The material seems durable enough that I'm not worried about storing it in the barn so it's close by when I need it... not to mention it quite easily handles the weight and pull of a 1500 pound part draft horse without stretching or unraveling. Plus, it's pretty, and isn't that always a great bonus? Functional AND easy on the eyes. Quite simply put, I would not hesitate to recommend this halter [combined with the matching 12 foot lead rope] for any horse of any size or training level. Just do NOT leave it on an unattended horse or use it as a turnout halter. This halter is meant to be used when you are actively working with a horse and need to keep it's attention focused on you. These knots are not going to come undone on their own.

I bought this halter brand new before I took my mare over to a training facility for the last 5 months. The knots fit perfectly how they should around her nose for the right alignment of pressure. She's mainly been in an outdoor pen and when not in use, this halter has been hung on a post next to her gate. I figured when she came home, I'd have to replace the halter since it's sat outside in weather and sun. However, I picked her up this week, and the halter is just as beautiful with no signs of wear, and the color just as beautiful and bright as when I bought it. I'm truly astonished. I just bought another halter for my other horse because I'm sold on the quality of this halter. Let's talk size: my horse is a very small built horse with a delicately small head. She is part Arabian and is 13.5 hands high, and has a dish nose. I bought a size Small and it fits her perfectly, with plenty of room on her face to yawn. The turquoise color is absolutely beautiful! Love how the turquoise color and my black and white mare look so well together. I definitely recommend this halter and have already told friends about it!

I love this halter! I’ve had it for a couple months now and has held up incredibly well! The rope is thick but flexible and amazing quality and has really helped with training my 10 month old donkey! She had been getting a little pushy and also needed something less ambiguous than a web halter. I’ll be buying for my donkey as well!

I have a Clinton Anderson 4-knot on loan. This is way better. Lots of color choices at a reasonable price with free shipping. I ordered a large for my 16hh Paint gelding. It's huge so I ordered the standard that fits fine. I found the correct way to tie it online - not what I was taught. The rope is stiff but that's not a problem when you tie it.I have a fancy 2-knot halter. This works much better. My horse has retired from riding due to arthritis and lameness in one knee. He is a very young 27 years old with plenty of energy after a long break. I hoped we would get back to some light riding. No such luck. The 4 knots work extremely well - they get his attention which is why this is so much bettter the usual 2 knot. His brain is back in gear and we are having fun learning long lining and doing some ground work.So many color choices at a reasonable price with free shipping. I ordered a lead line to go with it.
