Q: if i already have a posi-temp set up and valve in existing bathroom, do i have to purchase another valve for this new trim kit?

If it’s a Moen, you have to get a Moen, Koehler has to be Koehler . Make sure it’s the same! This shower head is amazing, I love it. Good luck!
