The directions of the compass representing the world and also representing the four elements; earth, air, fire and water. Each of the four quadrants is designed so that it is a heart, thus the name Lovers Knot. The circular disk is mounted on a pewter kilt pin measuring 3-7/8” by 1-5/16” (99mm x 34mm). The Lover's Knot Disk is 15/16 in diameter (24mm) The overall interlace is the symbol of everlasting life or love. A nice connection for lovers or newly weds.
