Love the size, sturdiness and lights are great. I was able to assemble this by myself. It was heavy to lift umbrella onto base but was able to do. Very happy with this purchase. Will use umbrella cover in the winter but this is nothing you can put on and take off daily. It is too high to reach. This is larger than my previous umbrella from Lowes and was $100 cheaper and more color options. Recommend.

If you want a beautiful, well made cantilever umbrella, you've found it. The lights are so pretty; light enough for conversation in the evening but not glaring cold light. The round center light makes the difference.This square umbrella had a learning curve opening and closing as we were used to our round one, which broke. The angles require a bit more space around the deck. But we got it within 3 uses, and we absolutely love it. I put 2 coats of Scotchgard on it bc it's dark grey. The darker color keeps us cooler underneath. But the sun bleached out last one out a bit, so protection was prudent.It's so easily adjusted, spun, tilted to wherever you need it. But to spin it, you have to step on a pedal in the base. This keeps the umbrella from randomly spinning in the wind, which is great.I'd absolutely recommend this product to anyone. We haven't tried the included cover, but it appears sturdy. The whole thing is well made and the water filled base makes it very stable. Two thumbs way up from us!One thing we're not crazy about: the crank to raise and lower it is low on the pole, requiring us to bend over to put it up or down. We were used to the crank being 3'+from the deck. This is about a foot farther down. We're still getting used to that, but by no means is it a deal breaker. There are so many positive features that bending a bit for the handle is no biggie.

This umbrella fits our needs perfectly. Well made, sturdy, easy to assemble. It provides shade from the Florida sun on our lanai, and gives us some light at night with the solar lights. It's adjustable and maneuverable. Good value.

We decided to purchase this umbrella after looking at multiple other options (including Costco and Lowes). Everything arrived in one (HEAVY & long) box. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Yes, I panicked while building it because I did not readily see the solar cell that fits at the top of the umbrella...yes it was in the box and it was especially well wrapped. I decided to fill the four base weights with water as it was easier than pouring in stone. The weights do a great job holding everything in place, even in moderate wind. The lights provide soft illumination, not bright / direct illumination...which is fine as it's for ambiance. The cover, once you figure out exactly how to install it, works well and is well made.

Before I open the heavy box, I thought it would take me the whole morning to assemble. However, it turned out the assembling is very very easy. Filling the water to the base, secure the post with four screws to the base weights, putting the crank, and connecting the umbrella to the post! That's just less than one hour to have the beautiful patio umbrella!The umbrella is very sturdy and we don't feel any shaking even in a windy bay weather! Once you set up the umbrella, you could adjust the umbrella through two ways: rotating the patio umbrella by pressing the pedal or tilting umbrella by pushing the handle. Very easy to adjust and very useful feature especially when you want to enjoy the outside throughout the day!

well thing hugh umbrella arrived day before yesterday it was packaged very well wrapped great. we spent 2 days filling it with sand to better give it more weight. It is beautiful, very well made and high quality. and the material is very nice. i love the color and lights. it didn't take too much to figure out. we needed it for our yard as our neighbors cut down All their trees and the side they cut we have cement. it covers really well

I am writing this review after installing the product and using it a for a little bit. Assembly was easy to follow from the booklet and easy to do. Took me 30 minutes all inclusive and done by one person. Recommend using water as ballast in the base, easy to setup and remove to move. The cover was a bonus, didn't know was gettin it. Was easy to put on with the stick, very very well thought out by the manufacturer--thank you. Remember to cover the mast inside the cover thus covering the whole thing.Worked well with the minimal wind there was (8-12 mph). Haven't tried in higher wind, don't think it is a good idea to given the span of the umbrella. Will report on sturdiness test later.
