Versatile fabric
I bought this as a base for a costume top. It was soft and very easy to work with. Since I have never used Neoprene before, it was a pleasant surprise. The fabric is loaded with stretch and was super comfy, after all day of wearing it. I have enough to use to make another costume piece, so I will. I would recommend this

Not actually neoprene
I'm no expert, but this is not like any neoprene I've ever seen. It's a decent material in it's own right. I'm sure it would be good for some use, if I can think of one. It's just not neoprene.

Not neoprene; just a squishy polyester blend fabric
The main drawback to this "neoprene scuba" fabric is that it's not neoprene - i.e. it contains no rubber whatsoever. So that's not great. Neoprene itself is actually a brand of polymerized chloroprene rubber foam invented by DuPont back in the 1930's - but I digress... The tiny "bubbles" in the rubber foam are what allows actual neoprene to hold micro-pockets of water close to the skin, which then get warm and make for good insulation in things like wetsuits and other scuba/watersports gear.I assumed (my fault, I know) that the 90/10% polyester/spandex blend in the description was only related to the soft lining that's typically applied to most actual neoprene (since raw synthetic rubber is generally rather sticky and uncomfortable directly next to skin), but what they meant is that this fabric is entirely polyester/spandex. Still, calling it "neoprene" at all is very misleading as neoprene is a rather specific product made of specific materials (and I'm sure DuPont would be none too pleased if they knew, but they have bigger fish to fry). This fabric is just meant to have the "look" of neoprene (i.e. the common poly lining) without the cost and heat retention of actual rubber foam neoprene - good for fashion applications I'm sure, but not actual neoprene.

Not real neoprene
this is not real neoprene. amazon should not allow counterfeit products. This is simply a thick fabric that feels a little like neoprene buy is see through. Neoprene is not see through.
