Worth the price! Really shines at f2
This is an APS-C format lens! It is not designed to nor will it fully illuminate a full frame sensor. It is L-Mount because there are crop sensor cameras with the L-Mount bayonet. Some of the reviews I read complain about severe vignetting, on full frame! Of course it will! It's an APS-C format lens! I am using this lens on a Sigma FP-L full frame camera with 1.5x crop mode enabled and this lens performs well above what its price would suggest. All of the following assume use on an APS-C format sensor or with APS-C mode/crop mode enabled on full format sensors. This lens has respectable sharpness at wide open f1.4 and is very sharp at f2. Edge sharpness is very good at f2 or higher but not bad at f1.4. I think that wide open f1.4 is usable but to me, f2 is where this lens shines for its price. Controls are super smooth and the graded apature stops are very nice. Focusing is smoother and precise. Don’t forget to turn focus peaking on in camera, since this is a manual lens you'll need it. This lens is for those that enjoy manual lenses and know what they are getting into. If you want simple point and shoot, get a auto focus lens. Build quality, fit and finish, and controls all look and feel premium. Metal body with thread on metal lens cap. Very nice. I am more than pleased with this lens. If this lens had cost double or triple it's current price, I would give it four stars because f1.4 is not as sharp as on premium lenses. But! It doesn't cost triple or double what it currently costs! This pens absolutely punches well above its price.

For the price, manual focus is a good deal
I like it, for a beginner like me, get it at the price is awesome. Not having autofocus adds an additional complexity layer that I was looking for. Works really well for me. Next I'll get one for portraits.

extremely low cost for a large aperture, right focal length
I'm struggling to get the focus tack sharp. That's more about my eyesight, using a wide aperture and not having steady hands than anything wrong with the lens.Got this lens because it was extremely low cost with a large aperture. I'm still learning to use my new camera and the different lenses, this is just 1 of them.Using it on an RFs body, with a 1.6 crop factor, making the equivalent full-frame camera cropping about 56mm - close to a human eye. Everyone needs one of this focal length.Of course, at this price, the lens isn't top quality, but it isn't nearly as bad was the price would suggest. Quite serviceable optics at this price. Just wish the lens body available was black when I bought it.

Cool lens
I set the lens up on my Nikon Zfc and tried it in full manual mode. Took me right back to memories of shooting photos on my old Canon AE-1. This was based on a review I read in an online photography magazine. Quality is very good. I won’t use it all the time, but it is a fast lens, giving me great options and lots of bokeh when I want that effect.

Performs well above it's price.
A fun manual walk around lens that is a joy to see what it captures. I'm not a pro but sure have fun with this lens and a used Fuji X-T20.

Great lens
Built really well. Don t have to look at the aperture or focus ring to take photos. Can concentrate on composition. Image quality is very good.

In love!
I always find great deals on Amazon 😆 this is such a fantastic lens that, well, speaks for itself obviously! The only thing I wish I had known was that it was an APS-C lens and not a full frame 🫠 I wanted a 35mm so I could have a much fuller frame that is less cropped (being as I always shoot with my 85mm). I was really discouraged at first to learn that it wasn’t a full frame lens. I’m not super educated on camera terminology so I didn’t think much of it when I read it. I’m so glad I purchased it anyway! I just really wish it was full frame 🥲 it is 1,000% a steal though. Don’t let that deter you from purchasing. I’m so happy I did!
