I have wanted a kotatsu for years after watching a lot of Japanese dramas. They always looked so cozy and as someone who runs on the cold side, it seemed perfect! I was so happy to snag this one at such a great price. It comes in very protective packaging and assembled very easily. It took about 5 minutes total to unpack it and attach the legs. It is just a veneer and not real wood grain, but it is still gorgeous and is quite good quality. It plugs in and is ready to use immediately. It warms up quite quickly and provides a good bit of heat without being too hot. It is perfect for the colder months. I absolutely love it! It has held up to a lot of use with no real obvious wear and tear. Even children have used the table top and it still looks brand new.

Having grown up watching anime, I've seen scenes where they'd sit under a kotatsu (I think Ouran Host Club may have been one of them), and I had always wanted one! But never really having had a reason to get one before, I've always just gotten coffee tables instead. But man, now that we have one of these in my master bedroom, where we can sit and drink and sit under a draped blanket and keep our legs warm under the table... it's just magical. Not ignoring the fact that this table is the perfect size, where we can spread out our things on and do crafts, or eat, or just chill at, you really can't put a price on this kind of comfort. For this upcoming winter, I plan on setting up a tatami mat and seeing if we can comfortably sleep under this table too! At least, half way out, with a thick warm blanket.But I'd also be remiss if I didn't talk about the installation. ALL FURNITURE SHOULD BE THIS EASY TO INSTALL!4x bolts, one screw handle thingy that lets you turn the bolt by hand as you install the four legs, and you're done. Drop the top on, screw them down if you want it stable, or drop down your favorite comforter and then put the top on top and you got yourself a functional kotatsu. Plug in the cord to the heater on the bottom, and you're set. It's so easy man! Took me maybe 8 minutes to install.

It is a solid built table and is sturdy and made of actual wood! The heater we have yet to use since it is already hot in the desert. If you are looking for a decent low table this is not a bad choice, and we are looking forward to lower temperatures to use the heater!

I got this for putting our ball python's tank on, but things worked out differently. I love that this table can be heated up. We don't currently have it plugged in, but it is very easy to use. It was supper easy to put together, just a matter of like 6 screws. Very sturdy and made of solid wood.
