Lovely stuff, smells very fresh, nice value.

I’ve only recently tried mace, as it’s not something you really see these days. I heard about it first from a youtube channel focusing on 1800s and earlier recipes. It’s in the same class as allspice, nutmeg and clove, which get all the modern love.Upon opening the bag, the smell is amazing. It’s like a mix of nutmeg and clove, with a tiny hint of citrus or maybe pepper. It comes very finely ground, which I appreciate, though you’ll need to keep it well sealed to keep it fresh. This is going to make some delicious fall concoctions. I only wish it came in a jar, as I’d rather it be stored in glass than a plastic bag, though the bag is small (easy to store) and it seems to seal well. I can push out the air before sealing, so maybe the bag is better… hmm…Anyway, Recommended.
