this camera has really good fidelity regarding image quality. BUT like others have commented, it is NOT wide angle. the kit worked right away for me and was relatively easy to install and adjust. the included drill bit, cuts away the right amount of material to mount the camera.

I INSTALLED THIS INTO MY FIANCES LINCOLN MKZ, I FLUSH MOUNTED THIS INTO THE TRUNK AS IF IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY. IVE INSTALLED OTHER BACK UP CAMERAS BEFORE, AND THIS ONE WAS VERY SIMPLE. I HAVE ONLY 1 NEGATIVE FEED BACK FOR THIS CAMERA. THERE IS NO MARK OR INDICATION OF TOP DEAD CENTER FOR THIS CAMERA. SO I HAD TO JUST TEMPORARILY HOOK UP WIRES TO MONITOR AND CAMERA TO SEE WHERE TOP CENTER WAS AND USE A LIGHT PAINT MARKER TO MAKE A LINE TO SHOW ME ROUGHLY WHERE UP WAS. IF THIS ISNT DONE, YOU COULD INSTALL THIS AND THE VIEW WILL BE AT A TILT OR UPSIDE DOWN, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE TO GENTLY PRY THE CAMERA BACK OUT AND TEST TO PREPOSITION TO FIND TOP CENTER. SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT FOR THE MANUFACTURER. EASY FIX REALLY.UPDATE , ALMOST A YEAR LATER. THIS CAMERA IS STILL WORKING GREAT. I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS CAMERA, IF I COULD GIVE IT MORE THEN 5 STARS I WOULD. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES WITH IT. HEAVY RAIN, AUTOMATIC CAR WASHES, ITS WATER TIGHT, AND ALL LED LIGHTS ARE STILL WORKING. I'VE HAD PEOPLE COMMENT ON HOW CLEAN IT LOOKS AS FAR AS FACTORY LOOK. THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE THAT A 13$ CAMERA AND A $10 REAR VIEW MIRROR COULD GIVE YOU THE LUXURY OF A BACK UP SYSTEM FOR UNDER $30. I MEANT TO SAY IN THE FIRST REVIEW POST, IF YOU ARE GOING TO DRILL INTO YOUR CAR BODY, MEASURE, MEASURE, MEASURE. I COVERED THE ENTIRE AREA WITH MASKING TAPE, MEASURED HALF THE WIDTH OF THE TRUCK, THEN MEASURED HALF THE HEIGHT OF THE AREA ABOVE TAIL LIGHT. IT MAY SEEM THAT THE CAMERA IS OFF FROM THE "C" BUT, IT DEAD CENTER. USE A SHARPIE TO MAKE YOUR MARK, AND WITH THE PROVIDED WHOLE SAW, USE THE TIP TO DRILL CENTER AND YOU ARE ALL SET.

This is a good camera but it looses signal for 3 to 6 seconds while in reverse and I did check wires and video plug all connections are good so I’m not understand why

The media could not be loaded.  I installed this on my 2002 mini cooper and it works and looks amazing! Buy this! Great price too!

Used for my 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche Z71 5.3L . Install was easy enough work as expected. You do have to test fit for picture as no marks for top center.

The field of view was the main reason I bought this camera. I put a marker at the green yellow intersection on the camera on both sides, I then placed a straight edge from marker to marker, measured the distance (95"), Divided 95" by 2 to get the opposite side, then measured the distance from the camera to the straight edge (44") (adjacent side). I then calculated the inverse tangent of 47.5"/44"=47.191°, multiplied that by 2 = 94.381° which is way less than the stated 170°angle. In order for the 95" target to target to work the adjacent side would have to be 4.156" not the 44" I have. Tan(85°)=47.5"/4.156". The camera has a good clear picture. It has visible white LED lights for night vision. They do not affect the quality of the picture at night with reflections.

This camera is pretty good for the money. It's very inexpensive. It shipped on time and was packaged well. Installation was easy. I hooked it up to a Kenwood DDX773BH head unit in a Ford F-150. The picture quality is pretty good during daylight hours. It's just okay at night time. The "night vision" feature isn't really infrared. It's just some bright LEDs that light up an area. So, that is one drawback. One other thing is you can't remove the parking assist lines. My head unit already has those lines, so I really don't need the others. But overall, I'm satisfied with it and would buy it again.
