great chips for the price, established brand
Kingston is known so I went with them over some of the generics. I've tried many others in the past and Kingston has been reliable in the past. My desktop is not the daily workhorse but it still has some programs and accessories I need on it. Poor thing was showing it's age in speed. Instead of buying a new tower, I thought the bargain price of 40 bucks ( I bought 2) to max out my RAM memory was worth a shot. My gamble paid off..It was as simple as removing the cover, removing the old chips and clicking these into place. The design was different than the factory sent ones but then again, these were double the RAM per chip and a different manufacturer. The important thing was it matched the pin count and fit into the chip slots perfectly. The Compaq recognized it without any issues and it gave it a good boost of speed/power. I'm happy.

Great RAM, GREAT VALUE!
This is my 3rd 2GB stick and I have to say, it is flawless, works on my old DELL Dimension 9200 - Win 7 - 64Bit system, core 2 duo (2.13ghz)I was so impressed with my first 2 sticks of RAM(2GB each)that I decided to order yet another and since compatibility is a big issue in terms of RAM I just had to order an additional 2GBs from KINGSTON (for a total of 3 sticks of 2GB each which is equitable to 6GB total of RAM) and as soon as the PC detected the change of RAM the performance went all the way to meet my expectations in terms of applications and production efficiency.Would definitely order more of these and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to friends & family. Thanks Amazon.

Received these about 10 days ago and they work well far as I can tell. Installed them in a AMD Gateway desk top That had windows Vista on it, but upgraded to windows 7 and put in the extra 4 GB of Ram. Not sure how much it helps anything cause I mostly just surf the net and do email, not a lot of multitasking. They were a little tricky installing them but finally got them seated in the slots. They both have to be seated or computer won't boot up at all.

Well worth the upgrade! Even going from 6BG to 8GB
I have a HP Pavilion Elite from 2008 that has a Q6700 Quad core 2.6mhz and 6 GB ram. The hard drive crashed a couple of years ago and I put a new 1TB drive in. I decided that rather then buy a new system I'd max out the old system and go to the max of 8GB DDR2 ram at 800mhz just to prolong what I have since I don't do a lot of heavy video editing or gaming and dread having to transfer everything. The Kingston website has a cool search where I put in my exact computer model number and recommended this RAM for it. I changed out all 4 sticks for under $60. I didn't expect much of a difference but with some of my more intensive memory programs the extra couple of GB actually made a notifiable difference in speed which surprised me. I have Adobe CS3 which loads and operates much faster now. Even though my system is older I feel like I can still go a ways with it now. One suggestion I have is always replace all your RAM sticks with the same type and don't mix and match brands. Sometimes different brands don't play well together. Maybe you'll get lucky but for the price of these it's worth it to keep them all the same. The physical size of the memory is much smaller than the larger RAM boards that came stock on my system which gives you some more room inside your tower.

It looked like it was made for my desktop
It looked like it was made for my desktop, but it was meant for a laptop. Not the sender's fault. Shipped and arrived as advertised.

Not what i ordered
I specially ordered KTH-XW4400C6/2G because it is made for hp computers and has a low profile, what i was sent was KVR800D2N6K2/4G which is kingston value ram which is an all purpose type ram. Granted this type of RAM would work but i have had several issues with blue screens with similar type ram and I don't like to have mismatch RAM as it causes more problems.I guess its my fault for going the cheap route and not going straight with amazon llc in the first place, lesson learnt will not purchase again.

Quality Computer Memory Installed and Working as Expected
Ordered this memory to round out my HP Pavilion model p6210f. The out-of-the box original configuration for this machine was 3 of 4 slots filled (2 gig each for 6 gig), and one open. I decided to upgrade to 8 gig, and this worked perfectly, with error-free memory from Kingston as expected. Eventually, the machine can be upgraded to 16 gigabytes, but I'll wait a while for memory prices to drop before doing this.A good purchase and a good product at a fair price fom Amazon.
