Don’t exactly want to have the experience of having to use the Safehammer but it is well made and worked extremely well on the glass samples included. The ‘O’ rings on the end caps are a little too tight for my older hands so I put a drop of 3 in 1 light oil on the ‘O’ rings. Perfect result.

Great quality and good looking (if you're concerned about having items in your car that can be viewed as an "eyesore"). Fortunately, I haven't had to use this yet. However, based on inspection of these, they are well-made and the spring-action of the glass breaker works. I've had one of them mounted in my car for over a month, and it just fell off. The mount piece is good, its the sticky tape isn't (the emergency tool was still connected to the clip). This wasn't an issue for me and my thought was "at least it wasn't so sticky that it would damage the vinyl." It did remind me to write my review lol. The red is my favorite and actually matches the interior of my FK8 (not that I had it on display, but still lol). If you're going to mount it so you can easily find it in thr event of an emergency situation, I recommend getting some 3m circles or other sticky tape (don't forget to check that it's non-damaging to the material you're sticking it to). This is one of those items you hope you never need to use, but glad to have it if you need it. The item is lightweight but seems sturdy. Small tool that. will fit in my center console easily. Disappointed in the adhesive used on the holder. None of them are sticky enough to put them anywhere in the car. So it will sit loose in my center console (hopefully that will be good enough if needed). One of the loops meant to help pull off one of the end caps broke off right away with one pull. I can still pull the end cap off with a lot of force however. Caps are hard to remove but the little sticker grips included help. The test pieces of glass are a plus; I was able to "practice" using one so I know what to expect and how much pressure I need to apply. Hopefully they will hold up. One for each vehicle as well as our 5th wheel in case of emergency.

I bought these for my 4 kids and husband for Christmas. (Gotta ensure everyone is safe ;D ) The hammers come 3 in a pack. So I bought two packs. The varying colors were great! It allowed everyone to pick the color they wanted. The 3 pack comes with them snuggly fit in a plastic container, inside a cardboard box to prevent damage. The plastic holder contained 3 hammers, a sticker sheet containing finger grips to place on the hammer where you would like (plenty of extra grips too), and three clear disks. The clear disks are for practicing the spring loaded hammer. Two of my kids were VERY eager to give it a shot! - FYI you'll need to have it contained in a box or taken somewhere that's NOT the livingroom floor. As the glass shatters into pieces! Please be more careful than my kids were... These hammers are lightweight. One side pops off for the hammer. The other end pops off for the seatbelt cutter. Which is exactly what I wanted. To ensure if ever needed, they can escape an accident. They found them easy to get out of the package. Easy to pop ends off and easy to use. Which is a little peace of mind for this mom! I think price wise, its super affordable! And I'm very glad I purchased them. It's a gift that if they never need to use it, we're super lucky! But if they need to, they have the spring loaded hammer. Which is really good, as the spring loaded hammer will continue to work even under water. I had read a study that the spring loaded was more effective at breaking glass than the hand held hammers, numerous times. (Plus, if you're under water, how are you going to swing with enough force to break it? You can't) Definitely recommend these little guys. Just stick it in your car. Near the driver seat so you always have access in an emergency. In water or on land. Thank you for giving this mom a little rest at Christmas!

Living in FL with a lot of waterways, I thought this would make a great gift for my family. I like that it can be mounted in the car for easy access and that it is small. I love that it comes with a sample glass piece to be able to try it out- and it definitely works well!
