Cleaner - does not absorb odor
Great litter box! Plastic ones and cardboard boxes absorb urine smell; this does not. At all. Musch easier to clean. Worth the money. I do not howeverned to use the lid...next time would buy one without lid.

Great litter box!
Love the look of this litter box, it's very clean and minimalistic. The sizing is great for my 2 cats, one of whom is quite large & has trouble getting comfortable in most litter boxes I've tried. The high walls are also very good for keeping the space clean, really appreciate the design!

Stainless steel is the way to go!
8-2020 Best litter boxes ever! No scent (of course) and very, very easy to clean. I have a large, long kitty and the extra 2 inches in length of this box is great. The plastic boxes would get scratches from the litter and over time it would start to retain odor even though I scoop every time there is a deposit. ewwww. I was replacing the 2 boxes every 5-6 months and the last plastic ones had a terrible obnoxious odor that wouldn't wash away. Decided to try one stainless, the cat liked it so 2 weeks later I bought a second one, one cat= 2 boxes. I'll never have to buy another litter box. 8-14-25 It appears I wrote this review in 2020 but never submitted it (?) so this is the update. After 5 years these 2 boxes are still the best litter boxes I ever bought. They are open so the cat can watch out for enemies while doing his business. The boxes have a few scratches from the litter but they don't rust and they DO NOT retain any odors. The sides are high enough that the litter stays inside the box (except what sticks to his paws and hair) or occasionally what he kicks out. The stainless hasn't rusted at all which can happen if the metal has rustable impurities in it. For cost the initial purchase is higher than buying plastic but $45 divided by 5 years is less than $10 per year per box. Considering I was replacing the smelly plastic boxes at least twice per year these boxes are a no brainer. Unlike plastic, the waste is fairly easy to unstick from the stainless and the odor goes with it. Any residue easily washes off. I'd give these boxes 10 stars if I could.

Easy to clean
Love this litter box, and I think it's worth the investment! I have two cats, one who really likes to swipe down the sides of the box when she does her business. The more she swipes, the more scratches a plastic litter box picks up, the harder it is to clean, and the more smell and maintains. So it was time to replace one of my boxes when I picked up this stainless steel one. It's exactly what I wanted! It's huge, about the footprint of an average laundry basket, and probably almost as deep with the top guard in place. The guard *is* plastic, but the bottom is deep enough that my cat doesn't bother it much, and honestly I could live without it, but it's nice to help contain litter spread. It does just kinda sit on top of the base, which my mom found off putting when she got hers, but it doesn't shift around that I've noticed. The bottom has foam feet so it doesn't slide or scratch the floor which is a nice detail. The main attraction to this box, though, is the ease of cleaning it. Dirty, wet litter slides right out, and it's easy to rinse and wipe out. There's no hold over smell, either. The only issues I have with this litter box are (1) it's a bit heavy and cumbersome, even empty, and (2) it's hard to find a home for it, as it's almost twice the size of any of my old boxes.

Simply Excellent Durability and Functionality
This litter box requires no assembly. It consists of only 2 pieces, stainless steel bottom for litter and a durable top designed to minimize litter spillage. The top sits securely in place without fasteners and is very easily lifted off for cleaning. It's large and perfectly sized to accommodate my 2 big guys (fur babies). One at a time, of course! Clean up is simple because nothing sticks, stains or has corroded the box, so far. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, reasonably priced and good quality.

Durable, easy to clean
These are nice big litterboxes, I have 3 of them that I've had for several years. They are very easy to clean & maintain. In warm weather I empty out the old litter, take them outside to clean them. In cold weather, I empty them out, use cleaning wipes to clean them out.

Easy to keep clean
First let me clarify that my cat is only 8 lbs. When we were going to meet her I wanted something simple in case we brought her home with us that day. The man in the pet store suggest a small, cheap plastic pan and a small bag of a local (OR, I live in WA) clumping clay litter. Of course she came home with us. I was VERY impressed with the litter! I wanted to stay with that and didn’t need to have a covered box. I wanted something open but that had high sides. She enthusiastically covers her litter. This was big, but it was just what I was looking for. I now buy big bags of litter and dump the whole thing in. Some people use less and then add more over time, but considering the size of the box I just put it all in. It takes a couple of trips up from the garage to get it up. There is absolutely no smell - ever, and the sides keep it in the box. I scoop several times a day. I empty what’s left and clean the box every 5 to 6 weeks. That’s mostly because of the great litter, but this box is a perfect match. I had to talk my husband into getting a cat because he hates the smell of a litter box, but he admits if he known about this setup we would gotten a cat before this. I’m glad we didn’t. She’s a sweetie! If this meets your needs I highly recommend it.

Update: I also have 2 of these litter boxes that are now pitting at the bottom causing urine to leak out. The second litter box I received came with 2 black marks at the bottom of the pan, I didn’t really think anything of it and as time went on I realized they were tiny pits which have now become tiny holes. I read other reviews of people saying they contacted the company and were told it was their cleaner, or something that was the consumers fault but one of mine started out with black marks that grew to holes and my first litter box is now starting to do the same also. I never use any harsh cleaning supplies. (I use The Unscented Company products, amazing products) so it literally has nothing to do with what I used to clean them, also I use to line them before our new cat started ripping the liners out. Unfortunately I wrote a great review when I started out with these litter boxes. Now I’m looking for new boxes. Even though I hated plastic litter boxes, not once did they get tiny holes in the bottom. I’d still like to get a different brand of stainless steel box but not from this company. My original review, I had high hopes: This has been the easiest litter box to clean that I’ve owned. I have two. I also bought the litter scoop from the same brand and the frustrations I’ve had with other litter boxes is gone. I use Pioneer Pet SmartCat Unscented Clumping Grass Cat litter in them. I bought these boxes to replace the Cat Genie. The smell that the Cat Genie produced was discussing. There is zero smell with this new setup I have. I tried plastic litter boxes and they always held a smell. I’m not grossed out cleaning these Stainless steel boxes, it feels more hygienic to me. I’m using bag liners in them but I don’t really need to. I got the sides for the boxes and the sides are nice and high. One of my cats likes to pee close to the edge and the boxes are nice and big so she can turn around and do her thing. The sides have prevented accidents over the edge of the box. I know the price is high but for me it’s been well worth it. I wish I would have had stainless steel boxes all along, then I wouldn’t have wasted money on self cleaning litter boxes over the years, that at some point have to be cleaned and they are way worse to deal with.

it's not a stainless steel liter surface meaning there's some kind of layer from the inside it's stainless steel from the outside i mean it's still better than plastic options or any other but it turned out not as expected as in size it's really big and wide . hope it helps :)

I've owned cats for several years, and it never occurred to me to get a stainless steel litter pan. I'm so glad I finally did! It doesn't stain and hold onto the odours even after a wash, like a plastic one does. It's huge (fits my ragdoll boys in it easily) and deep enough that the litter doesn't tend to get kicked out the sides. Love it!
