This thing is such high quality for the price! Excellent sharpness! Can cut through thin, but hard plastics. Great heft and weight when pulling down the blade. The only downside is the green bar, which is handy but honestly does suck for seeing clearly, and makes it difficult to cut small pieces. You can acclimate to this though. Looks gorgeous on your desk. The legs and weight make it sturdy. The cutting is almost perfect. Beyond passing. I would give 4.5, but I can give it a 5.

We had an older paper cutter and it would cut the paper at one end but then bend, crack or rip the paper at the other end. This one is so nice. It's like slicing butter. It works really wwell and it's made nice too. Definitely way more of a heavy duty item. Sturdy product that works well.

12/7/22. Wescott CarboTitanium 15 inch Guillotine paper cutter. CarboTitanium treated blade & wood base. We cut multiple pages of paper at a time. Our old paper cutter developed a bow in the blade so that it would cut the first 1/3 of the page & bend the rest of it down. It seems the way to fix old cutters is not to replace the blade but to have a person who sharpens lawn mower blades sharpen it but the bow made that unlikely. Check the internet for price on this cutter & look for free shipping; even if you buy in a brick & mortar store because prices go from expensive to reasonable for the same model. Some sellers will throw in a model number instead of 15 inch or 18 inch to try to hide the higher price for the same cutter. **Not especially heavy; seems well made & sturdy; feet treatment make it nonslip plus the blade cuts cleanly & accurately. One personal quibble is that I don't like the plastic safety guard--it is too big & too intrusive. You slip the paper under the plastic paper guard & it is like going into the black box, you can't see what is happening but you can see at the cutting point. The metal loop that most cutters have would have been preferred & would have been less likely to be broken. I was torn between a 12 inch, 15 inch or 18 inch cutter but we only cut 8-1/2 x 11 inch copier paper & the 15 inch cutter is perfect for cutting that size paper. **It is disingenuous for them to advertise that it will cut 30 pages of paper, although it probably will. We are only able to slide about 15 pages of paper under the plastic safety guard because of space limitations & the instructions say not to take the safety guard off. It does cut the 15 pages cleanly & easily. **This paper cutter does what it was designed to do--cut paper cleanly and easily and is easy to use but easier to use if they had a more reasonable safety guide. I recommend this paper cutter for cutting single pages of paper or multiple pages of 8-1/2 x 11 paper.

I love this so much! I did find the protective cover annoying and was able to remove it. It’s great value for the price and a good size.

This works so good that i sliced a giant chunk out of my thumb by moving my hand while the blade is up- So be careful! VERY SHARP! It works well for lots of papers and I love the measuring grid.

MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS CUTTER See pic. Thought it was me but it's not. Can't use this for exact cutting measurments. The distance from the 1 inch line to the cutting line should be an inch. As you can see it's WAY off if you want precision. Such a bummer as it feels great.

Worst paper trimmer…do not purchase. It is not square so all cuts are crooked. Whether you use the edge at the top or try to use the grid lines, it makes no difference. Crooked. I’m so disgusted with the product. I gave it 2 stars because it cuts like butter…the blade is very sharp and goes through paper and card stock easily. That’s why it’s disappointing.

This unit is nicely weighted so it does not lift off the table, but not too heavy, a really sharp blade. Happy with my purchase.
