Q: What is quantity of product made ("6 lbs") in terms of mass - eg. half-pints?

We just finished a batch and got 8 1/2 half pint jars. Anther tip: we think 4 lbs. sugar is too sweet for us, so we use only 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 lbs. Jells perfectly.

Q: What is the difference between Mamade prepared oranges thin cut, and the Marmalade thin cut mix?

I think there is only a choice of thin cut and thick cut. I prefer thin. The mix refers to the pulp to make the marmalade....like chocolatde cake mix.

Q: Can the finished product be frozen rather than canned?

I don't freeze it. However, I have it in bottles and always follow the instructions and have it sealed tight. It lasts for a long, long, long time! I make the whole batch and give away as presents and what's left (a couple of bottles or so), stays good for months! Once opened, I keep it in the fridge. Happy canning. All the best!

Q: Can I add crushed pineapple to this marmalade for an orange pineapple marmalade?

why would you want to do that? not recommended, I'd think, as pineapple in particular is a strange thing that seems to not play well with other fruit. Research it.. do pineapple jam and your marmalade separately and mix them your plate after making!!
