I bought this because I installed a new hvac system with new thermostats that where slightly smaller than the previous ones. So instead of having to paint the exposed area I opted for this plate that worked well. It does have a round ish front that doesn't sit quite flush with my flat thermostat but it is barely noticeable. Had predrilled holes for easy install but I added a few others to fit my needs.

Straight forward, does what its supposed to, wvery well.

It gave me that extra little bit I needed to cover different wall paint

Works fine as a generic plastic trim plate. But its a bit to large for the rheem econet thermostat. I still made it work. Though it could have come out a bit better if i had sized it correctly.

I ordered this to go under the thermostat and it works just as intended. I think it looks better than just having the thermostat on the wall by itself.

The overall concept is great, but it does not fit the actual thermostat that it is linked to. There’s an overlapping from the thermostat that does not allow the thermostat to lay flat in the inside groove, which is quite annoying.
