My boys first discovered Onyeka at their school library, and they loved it so much they asked me to buy the rest of the series. Now they won’t stop talking about it! The story is exciting, relatable, and full of heart — exactly the kind of series that keeps young readers turning pages. What I love most is how much they’re learning along the way. The books introduce them to Nigerian words, foods, and slang in such a fun and natural way that they’re picking things up without even realizing it. Title as written is wrong (when I ordered this, the title said quiet companion: MAUS) I received the book as per the cover (bunny, versus monkey, the impossible pig), which is what I had been hoping to buy.
