So far so good
When I went to open my pool in the spring, the first travel of my cover the cable snapped on one side. With a trusty YouTube video or tube I fumbled through the replacement of the cable with this product. It’s now mid july and this has help up without issues. The real test will be the longevity of its operation before the next failure.the original lasted 8 years. I don’t expect it to last that long but if it seems u reasonable I will update this review. But for right now I’m completely happy with the purchase.

Poor Quality
The tabs on the rope broke within a month of installing rope.

Perfect fit, plenty of rope.
Followed the online instructions. TIP just sewing the old and new lines together caused the rope to jam at the corner pully. I had to slip a 4 inch piece of shrink tubing over the line, stitch the lines together then shrink the shrink tubing over the stitching to get the new rope around the end pully.

Did the job, but it was skimpy compared to the original

Automkatic Pool Cover rope replacement
I used this rope to replace the OEM rope because it was less than half the cost of APC's ropes, especially because you realy need to replace both ropes, even if only one broke. So far so good. but I was not able to get the end of track replacement pullies which should also be replaced with the ropes, from Amazon, so did have to pay about $35.00 each for those. One of them was completely siezed and was probably the reason the rope broke. But everything is running smooth now.

Replaced my broken rope and works!
This rope seems much stronger than the OEM rope. I think there is a parachute cord in the middle which is much stronger. I replaced my broken rope within 2 hours and my auto cover was back up and running
