Don't miss this!
Filmed for Japanese TV this DVD really captures the atmosphere of the Boston 1993 concert with Keith Richards and the Xpensive Winos putting in an incredible show. Keith and the band clearly enjoy themselves as much as the audience and for me this is far superior than any of the Stones shows on dvd (no Jagger prancing around singing in an affected voice telling everyone to "get on down"). I can't praise the band enough and Keith's playing is just superb.I've never posted a review on Amazon before, but as someone left a one star review because they had a faulty disk (just ask for a replacement!) I felt I had to try and put across how good this is. Want some more reviews then look it up on Amazon.com.

Almost perfect
This is Keith at his best and for that he deserves 5 stars as does the whole band who were doing it because they wanted to.Yes, the mixing and general quality of the DVD is poor and there are times I wish why Keith and the Stones in general do not get a grip with this type of material and some of the bootlegs and just distribute it on the web, properly mixed, with the relatively low production costs involved this should not be a problem. That said nobody wants Keith to be anything other than "on the day".

Words Of Wonder
Keith Richards Live In BostonMain Offender Tour February 13, 1993You are straight in to the concert. There are no extras. The quality of the picture is somewhat poor - there is a line of "over-used vhs tape type picture at the bottom of the screen and a "WT" symbol in the top left hand corner of the screen.But... The X-pensive Winos are outstanding!Keith's set list is:Something Else (5:26)How I Wish (4:16)Wicked As It Seems (5:56)Gimme Shelter (6:30)999 (6:36)Running Too Deep (4:05)Locked Away (6:05)Time Is On My Side (5:04)Will But You Won't (6:18)Words Of Wonder (8:44)Hate It When You Leave (6:51)Before They Make Me Run (3:12)Eileen (5:49)Body Talks (6:31)Band Introduction (2:27)Whip It Up (6:03)Could Have Stood You Up (4:19)Happy (8:59)Take It So Hard (4:58)Total 1:49:35If your not a fan of Keith you may be disappointed with this DVD, but if you are a fan, you surely won't be disappointed at all with this great concert.Keith and the Winos performance gets five out of five but I have deducted a star for the picture and no extras on the DVD.

Amazing. Play it through a booming sound system and you will begin to appreciate how soul-spittingly sensational this band were in 1992-93. If lucky enough to see the Winos then it immediately reminds you of the night when Keith rocked and rolled our hearts away. If not, then this gives you a significant slice of the action. Remember, play it loud. They sure did.

Keith Richards, the living legend
I thought this DVD was brilliant. I've been a fan of Keith Richards for a very long time. The man is a living musical legend. Music was fantastic, all hail the X Pensive Winos

Great mix of material delivered with energy
Keith starts off the night by saying "It's Saturday night and we're here to rock." He wasn't kidding. Every song is delivered with energy and passion. I couldn't stop watching the DVD until I'd been through it about four times. Great mix of material from "Main Offender", "Talk Is Cheap" and a few from the Stones catalog. The most surprising part for me was how much I enjoyed the reggae number "Words of Wonder". The studio version from Main Offender pales in comparison to this live rendition. The X-Pensive winos are a motley crew for sure, but they were unbelievably tight and the musicianship is exceptional throughout. Aside from one sour note on the intro of "Before They Make Me Run" and a couple songs (including "Happy") where the jam went on a bit too long at the end, the performance is spellbinding. You can tell that everyone on stage and in the audience was enjoying every minute of the ride. Some of the highlights for me were "Locked Away" and "Eileen", but there are no disappointments whatsoever. It was definitely worth the price.

Mitico Keef!!!!
