The sconce itself is not dimmable, and the bulbs we provide are not dimmable, but dimmable bulbs can be used.

The light fixture itself has a switch, and you can also control it with a wall switch.

Q: Does this have to be hardwired or does it have a cord and plug?

It is hardwired. But you can use a remote light bulb.

Q: How do I distinguish between these wires?

The wires in the fixture are Blue, Brown, and Green/Yellow. Blue and brown can be arbitrarily connected to the neutral wire and the live wire, and the Yellow/Green is Ground wire (small power electrical appliances can not install the ground wire).
