Please note, The heater should be fully submerged to work properly Rapid thermal accumulation: The heating rod is made of explosion-proof quartz glass material and a high-temperature resistant nickel-chromium heating wire with silicon carbide heat conduction; which result in faster water heating and a safer, more durable, long-lasting heater. Build-in intelligent LED digital temperature display: LED digital display screen shows the current and preset water temperature. The external hand controller makes for easy setting and operation. Every press changes the set temperature by 1℉. The led flashes 5 seconds and then stops, indicating that the temperature has been set and the display shows the current temperature. Their online troubleshooting just says to discatthe heater....I would have expected it to lats more than FIVE MONTHS. Kind of garbage if you ask me!

I’m really enjoying this heater. My favorite things are its shape and visible digital temp reading. I hate the typical ugly tube heaters. This heater is like the size of a wallet and it can easily sit low in the tank behind some plants or hard scape and be invisible. It does have a digital temp screen on the front so I’d recommend hiding that with something but it’s nice to see when you need it. I like the satisfaction of seeing an actual number instead of a tiny dial. Has been very accurate so far on my 29 gal.. Been using for over a year and I love it!

Good heater great price. Be aware that the temperature that you see on the display doesn’t match the actual temperature of the tank water.
