ASICS Women's Gel-Excite 8 Running Shoes

I have some other GelExcite8 shoes and really like them. I was pleased to see these and like the bright yellow laces. The bright yellow gives them some personality!!

Due to a major surgery on my left foot to correct my broken toes, torn ligaments and tendons it’s been a long journey trying to find the perfect sneakers or shoes to support my foot. Since I use to wear a size 10, I now have to purchase a 10.5 to give more room so my toes are not crunched up. I’ve tried other brands but I couldn’t find comfort or they didn’t have half sizes. These sneakers were recommended to me about three weeks ago. I love the colors and the sneakers are very comfortable for walking. I will purchase another pair next month in other colors.Thanks

I have the exact same size in the Gel Contend 6 and these shoes are the same length. This pair in my regular Asics size fits fine, maybe even better. Theres a comfortable amount of toe space and doesn't feel too narrow, there's a noticeable cushion under my heel. Maybe there is too much arch support for my flatter feet, but we'll see. Just trying it on and walking in the house it does not feel too small at all like other reviews are saying. I ordered another size up just in case, and that was a waste of time for all involved.

These were my back-up shoes while walking the Camino Francés—and I ended up ditching my Merrels and wearing these for over 400 miles. They made my feet much happier; they withstood the tough terrain and weather extremes; except for two drenching days when we walked through deep water, they were truly waterproof. I brought them home, washed them, and am still wearing them!

I love these shoes so much! They look very good on my feet – I was specifically looking for white shoes as I feel more athletic in those (mind tricks, I know)... I like lifting, but I need some cardio in my training, and bits like this help me getting those in.It has more arch support than I expected (I had the Excite 7 before, but this was cheaper right now in my size), but it doesn't have a lot of cushion – hence the 4 stars. It has more drop and more cushion that I would tolerate for lifting, though, so I still keep this for my cardio workouts! Wouldn't recommend them for lower body heavy(-er) lifting!I have wide feet and it has a comfortable toe box to accommodate for that need!I usually wear 10-10.5 for running, but I use these in the gym exclusively (keeping them clean-er ;)), and for any other activities, most styles fit me in 9-9.5. I ordered 9.5 and they are perfect!All in all, I'd recommend these shoes, just be aware that you won't have the "walking on cloud" feeling.

I bought these shoes for a vacation that was going to require a lot of walking. They did not disappoint. They have great arch support and have a great look as well.

I love ASIC shoes. I have been wearing them for much longer than 10 years. They fit me well and have great cushioning and support for walking. I buy a new pair each year and always keep the last two pairs; one for yard work and one for wearing in boat. The removable insoles are a plus for me and these shoes can even be (occasionally) washed in the washer and dried outside on the clothes line if they get really soiled in the garden or full of sand from boating or the beach.
