Mesmerizing effect
This nifty little gadget adorns my desk and offers a quiet escape when I need to drift away from work and into my own thoughts. It’s well-built and rotates smoothly and easily for quite a while generating a mesmerizing illusion that the ball is levitating in mid-air. For such a low price, this would make an excellent gift.

In interesting novelty, but---
Well made and attractive. . A good spin comes to a complete stop in about 30 seconds. It's too bad it couldn't be electrified somehow. In its stationary state it loses its appeal. I wouldn't buy it again. It weighs 4 oz, maybe a good paper weight.

Not bad
Ball does not float. It is attached to side and the spin part makes it look like it does. Looks cool but very small.

Unstable during spin. Once missing the pad on the base.
Cool idea but unfortunately it is not built well enough. When spinning it does not spin smoothly and wobbles. The illusion does not work due to this issue. Also the second one I ordered was missing the pad on the bottom.

Mesmerizing, usually
Sometimes I don’t spin it correctly, but it is a nice add to my desk

Bought 2, both wobble, spins a max of 45-60 seconds.
Saw these and immediately bought 2; 1 black and 1 gray (both with the silver chromed ball).Pros: 1 - SUPER cool idea; "potentially" mesmerizing in motion. 2 - Looks very nice/classy sitting on your desk; smooth, even finish on the paint job and the chrome ball finish looks great. 3 - Nice fabrication on the solid aluminum spiral cage and base...feels pretty solid when it's not spinning and the ball weld is totally invisible.Cons: 1 - They wobble badly (BOTH of them)....look closely at the videos the company posts here and you can see a slight wobble on almost every single one they feature in the videos. 2 - They spin a maximum of 45-60 seconds. The manufacturer advertises on this page they spin for "150-300 seconds". Yeah, not happening. Like, at all. You can't spin them any faster/harder or they wobble so bad they fall over. The fix would be to make them significantly larger; make them about 50% taller and have a MUCH wider base.....that extra height and width would make them heavier which would dampen out/resist the wobbling and it would also let you spin the toy faster and get a longer, more satisfying spin. Again, it's a super cool idea and it sucks they cut corners to save money. Fix these problems and I'd be willing to spend a decent chunk of money for a cool looking desk toy to mess around with.UPDATE: I found who the original manufacturer is. This is a cheap knock-off.

Great figit spinner.
My son has a collection of figit spinners, he loved this one also.

Wobbles
The media could not be loaded. Its a nice piece, smaller than the image makes it look. I would recommend it, but Unfortunately, the item i have wobbles pretty bad so the floating effect of the ball bearing is diminished significantly.
