3190 hog rings sealed pack but top layer loosely packed so some rings only in strips of 2 or 3. I had trouble loading my Rapid FP216 gun as the small groups fall out through the loading bar or the open window if loading at an angle.

I used these hog rings for the first time when erecting a fence and found them to be very easy to use and effective in attaching plastic covered wire fencing to the stretched wires I had put up to begin with. The fence looks good and keeps my neighbours dogs out of my garden! I have ordered another pack of 400 as I have another stretch of fencing that needs replacing soon. A great product!

All as stated ... but would be good if a sample of the rings were supplied with the tool ... I had to open my box of rings to check that they were correct and fitted..

IMO this Rapid VR16 hog ring design, is not suitable, perhaps even dangerous, for a sausage ("hog") ring closure method. The box of the Rapid pliers also is very misleading, imo, showing a ring closed to 2mm --- however, when these rings are closed to 2mm or even 4mm, there are "horns", sharp horns, sticking out. If swallowed, those horned rings would probably require surgery. SO, DO NOT USE THIS SIZE OF HOG RINGS ON ANY FOOD PREPARATION SUCH AS SAUSAGES. Other problems, noted in the Amazon.UK website already, include: The glue that holds the staples together are weak, and the rings/staples separate too easily. The green paint comes off easily, too. Not suitable for my intended use. As a "fence ring", this size might be useful for chicken wire, but not larger fences, imo. Again, misleading and arguably false advertising by the manufacturer, Rapid. The cost per hog ring/staple, is approx. $20 divided by 400 rings, or 5 cents each. I already own a Weston hog ring tool/pliers and the Rapid automatic pliers for the VR22 hog rings, as well as many other fastening tools. I sent a complaint (i.e. safety hazard) to Langdon Distribution, but imo they sent a "canned" reply and didn't read my email, with photos, about the hog rings. .

These were the only non-silver colored hog rings I could find. They worked as intended in my hog ring pliers, but I found that they weren't glued together as firmly as the next size larger silver hog rings are. I suspect the paint is harder for the glue to stick to, but I'm not sure. At any rate, they were a little too prone to having multiple rigs come off at once when stressed in trying to clip wires together, then leaving one behind jamming the mechanism. I think they'd be fine if you were clipping things that were already laying parallel and that you didn't have to fight into position. If these are what you need, the paint doesn't seem to chip, and they mostly do what they're supposed to do. Do pay attention to the size, as they're pretty small.
