Learn your settings before heading out to sea
Thus is a fine camera, especially as an adventure camera. It looks good and takes very good pictures underwater and above. It is a little heavy for its size but that is its tough exterior. I do have some challenges with all the options it provides. I have inadvertently pushed buttons in wrong order and found my viewing screen shrink up or disappear. Personally, I could have used a simpler camera, but I hope to grow with it.

So NOT Waterproof.
This camera is the worst underwater camera ever. I really wanted to love this camera. But how can an underwater rated camera die every time it gets wet? The warranty process is abysmal and takes forever. Most of the time is just telling me that I did it all wrong. I've had other underwater cameras before and I'm not a complete idiot. All I ever did was some surface level snorkeling or playing in a pool. It's just dead. Every time. I only go on vacation twice a year. I just wanted something that worked. I've had it a year, for two vacations - two brand new cameras (warranty one). It couldn't make it through one weeklong trip. I'm just not hard on things. Back to my onl underwater camera again. What a waste of money - on the camera, all the accessories, extra batteries (yes the genuine ones, etc). It takes great pictures otherwise, but so does my phone, which I'm carrying anyway and is half the weight and size. Do NOT waste your money if you want a snorkel camera. Really. Don't. You'll save yourself so much aggravation.

GREAT CAMERA FOR GEO TAGGING AND OUT DOOR ADVENTURE OR WORK WERE GEOTAGGING IS REQUIRED
SAME CAMERAS AS A RICOH 900SE, WHICH I HAVE BEEN USING FOR OVER 4 YEARS, SAME CAMERA, 1/3RD THE PRICE. GREAT FOR UNDER WATER, GREAT GPS SIGNAL, GEO TAGGING A MUST, HAS GREAT DURABILITY, HAVE USED THE SIMILAR 900SE IN SUB ZERO COLD AND RAIN AND WORK VERY WELL. IT ALSO ALLOWS DATE, TIME, GPS STAMPING OF PHOTOS. "BE CAREFUL ABOUT POSTING THOSE ON THE NET, ILLEGAL IN SOME COUNTRIES. IF YOU GEOTAG OR DO ANY HARD OUTDOOR PHOTO WORK, THIS CAMERA CAN HANDLE IT. LONG SHOTS ARE HARD, ZOOM IS OK OUT TO ABOUT 500 YARDS, AFTER THAT--NOT SO GOOD. REMEMBER SAME CAMERA AS THE RICOH 900SE AT 1/3RD THE PRICE.

Get ready to have fun taking pics.
Great camera, easy to use. Takes a little getting used to if you normally use a SLR. Amazing photos, and really had fun with it on vacation snorkeling. It's very durable and I love the green. Great travel camera

Not worth the aggravation
Really wanted to like this and keep it, but you have to charge this thing with the battery cover open so you can plug in the cheapest 2-piece USB C charger into it with the door dangling open. I mean this charger is TEMU. Plus the door could get jarred accidentally. Seals are exposed during charging. How about charging a spare while using the camera? Nope. Not smart on many levels. At this price point they should have a dedicated battery charger like 99% of every other camera manufacturers provide, including a $70 HERO clone which comes with 2 batteries and separate charger. I’m sure there are aftermarket external chargers available, but I’m insulted at the prospect of buying one at this price point. I’ve had many water/shock proof cameras over the past 15 years including some that still work. None of them had this charging ritual. I’m giving this one 3.5 stars because of the specs, but this camera is not worth the aggravation.

Great small camera for the outdoors
We love this camera. My primary camera is a Canon 35 mm. However, I wanted something small and light weight that could get wet and fit in a pocket. It has been in the ocean, down a rafted river, and on the beach. The photos are clear and sharp. It is simple enough to use, so that my 10 year old grandson was able to use it on a recent trip to Costa Rica. It is very durable. Battery life is very acceptable.

The first thing I did with this camera was stick it in video mode underwater, in my goldfish pond ... and shot 2 minutes of inquisitive fish faces. The fish and I just love it!

I want to have a camera for vacation that can go in water. This one is rugged.Image quality is not perfect. It is acceptable. Thats it.The price is good do. I finally when with the ON TG-7 which is a lot pricier. But image quality is better and low light photo to. Nothing comparable to my CANON R5 with good lenses. But we are not talking the same quality of camera and price. And the TG-7 can have and housing to dive deeper. So double protection. That why i change and for the quality of the photo in TG-7.

Basic camera no wifi data transfer it’s alright for a quick point and shoot that you can drop or get wet. Should have bought the Olympus for a travel camera
