Easy to install
I ordered this pipe insulation for some water pipes in my well house; however, the insulation can be used for anything you like—to insulate something or make something soft. It is made of nitrile rubber and comes with four pieces that are each 6 ft. long. The inside diameter is 5/8", and the insulation is 3/8” thick. The insulation does not have a cut seam along its length, so I took some ordinary scissors and cut a seam. I wrapped it around my water pipes and placed some duct tape around it for security. The product is easy to use and doesn’t require any special skills or training. It seems that the price point is a bit high, but I don’t have anything equivalent to compare it against right now. So far, I have no problems or criticisms to report.

Doesn't Fit
I ordered this pipe insulation to repair the insulation on our outdoor A/C unit. It has worn away with weather. I ordered 3/4 ID insulation. The insulation I received doesn't fit at all. Way too small! I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

Good for multiple uses
Hubby and I live in our rv, and right now we're in Arizona for the summer. We don't want the blazing summer sun to rot our water hose, so we're going to use this pipe insulation as UV protection for the hose. The insulation is useful for many things, and is perfect for our hose. It's pre-split, so unlike pool noodles, we don't have to cut it to fit it over the hose, plus it has glue to seal it back to itself so it won't come off.

Too narrow for regular AC pipes
I ordered the largest diameter size available and it was still too narrow for my regular AC pipe. So I used one side which covered about 2/3 and then added another piece on the opposite side to completely surround the pipe. By doing this the 6 ft length can only cover 3 ft and requires additional work. The thickness appeared to be less than other pipe Insulation purchased at the big box stores.

Quality pipe insulation and quite flexible
This is nice pipe insulation that is easy to cut and is quite flexible so tightly curved pipe is no problem for this insulation. The one thing that would make this even better is if the wall thickness was a bit more. I would consider this insulation more appropriate for reducing heat loss on hot water lines than protecting lines in freezing conditions. As a side note you can find uses for any scraps such as plugging gaps and cracks.

Far smaller than you'd expect and cheap material.
My AC line has deteriorated in the south Florida sun and condensation has been going everywhere so I picked up this pipe insulation to fix that. Unfortunately, the size is smaller than the 3/4" ID (inner dimension) that was listed and it looks like the product page also changed as well to 5/8" ID which now matches what I got. The material was smushed up, is rather cheap and likely will not last out in the Florida sun for very long. I barely was checking the interior and it tore on me. I am rather disappointed but maybe it'll work for different applications just be aware of the sizing.

High Quality Tubes
This nitrile rubber pipe insulation is good quality and beefy enough to be worth the effort to install it. Note that it doesn't come pre-slit, so you either will have to slide pipes into it, or cut it length-wise to slip onto already-installed pipes. Though the R-value isn't stated, the foam is dense and resilient, and the dimensions are as advertised.

Squished
This pipe insulation is mostly fine in terms of materials and how it's made. However, the way it's sent, it's rolled up and somewhat squished. If you're covering a pipe, that may not be an issue, however this kind of material tends to have other uses, like gap-filling, which this would be less useful for because it's squished.
