We're trying to ditch plastic utensils after learning about toxins and junk that can result from using them while cooking. We needed a larger, strong spoon, and this one is it. So far, we use it more for serving than for prep, and it's perfect for that purpose. Lightweight yet solid. Decent price. Can be stored or hung by included thread loop. We prefer to stand ours in a tall glass vase so they air dry. Hubby did that thing where you treat it with oil. Helps it last, I think. This one's a keeper ... and so is hubby!

it could have a smoother finish ... does the job, but the wood is not "polished" so the food sticks to it

I bought this spoon to use with my new ceramic cast iron pot to avoid scratching the surface while cooking. I liked the length of the handle and the quality of the wood and coating. The spoon scoop depth and size was also good which made cooking and serving my meat sauce easy. And it washed easily.

Love this wooden spoon. Looks hand carved. I use it daily.

This is a great size spoon, deep enough for serving food, and very sturdy. It wasn't as smooth as I like, so I just sanded it a bit. It seems to absorbs the mineral oil and beeswax better after sanding.
