Phenomenol clarity. No subwoofer needed.
The Edifier QR65 is a dream come true. It offers perfect desktop speakers at a reasonable price. A subwoofer is offered, but it is totally unnecessary. The clarity of these speakers is extraordinary. I have tried many different desktop speakers and always thought them deficient. My worst experience was with the Devivlaet Phantom IIs. They were hideously expensive and required constant rebooting for so-so quality. The Logitech Z623 promised an inexpensive alternative, but even with its subwoofer, the sound was tiny and tinny.

Possibly one of the best speakers on the market!
The media could not be loaded. The Edifier QR65 speakers have been on my list since their release, and after finally getting my hands on them, I can say they truly enhance any home office or gaming setup with their sleek and modern design. After using them for a couple of weeks, here’s my honest review.Pros:1. Aesthetic Appeal – The minimalist design is clean and elegant, making these speakers a perfect addition to any workspace or gaming setup. You can choose to have the infinity lighting on or off, but let’s be honest—one of the main reasons to get these is for the ambient lighting!2. Sound & Bass – The audio quality is phenomenal, delivering rich bass and crisp highs that make music, movies, and general listening an absolute pleasure.3. Customization Options – The companion app allows you to personalize the lighting with different colors and patterns, making the setup feel truly unique.Cons:1. Connectivity Issues with the App – Setting up the app took me over an hour to connect initially, even though my Bluetooth was already paired and the settings were correctly switched on the speakers.2. Limited Volume on Certain Connections – While the sound quality is fantastic, the volume seems capped at a certain level, specifically when using the USB connection on a PST Pro console.Final Verdict:These minor downsides don’t take away from how amazing the Edifier QR65 speakers are. The stunning design, powerful sound, and customization options make them a worthwhile purchase. If you can work around the small connectivity quirks, these are definitely worth buying!

Looks Amazing and Sounds Even Better
I’ve been using the Edifier QR65 for a few weeks now, and I’m absolutely thrilled with this purchase. Let me break it down:Design: These speakers are a work of art. The sleek, modern design with a matte finish adds a premium touch to my desk setup. The RGB lighting is subtle yet stylish, and it perfectly complements my gaming and work environment without being overly flashy.Sound Quality: The performance is where the QR65 truly shines. The highs are crisp and detailed, the mids are well-balanced, and the bass is punchy without being overwhelming. Whether I’m listening to classical music, bass-heavy tracks, or gaming soundscapes, everything comes through crystal-clear. Even at high volumes, there’s no distortion, which is impressive.Setup: Setting these up was a breeze. The connection options are versatile, including Bluetooth and AUX, so it works seamlessly with my PC, phone, and even my TV.Extra Features: The touch controls are responsive and add a modern feel. I also appreciate the inclusion of multiple sound profiles, allowing me to switch between modes depending on whether I’m gaming, watching a movie, or just relaxing with music.Overall, the Edifier QR65 delivers both in terms of aesthetics and audio quality. It’s rare to find a product that looks this good and performs at such a high level. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade their setup!

Hits many sweet spots
Pros:- Sound quality is above par. Even without dedicated sub there's punch in bass- Looks beautiful in white finish and and the mirror lights takes it to the next levelCons:- Light effects have a lot of room for improvement. Except 1 or 2 styles, they aren't suitable for music visualization. Even for those 1 or 2 styles, the light response carries significant latency and sensitivity to match the music. Fix this and and it will be killer product- Some use cases(gaming, heavy metal etc) need software EQ to do justice to the outputOverall for a smallish room I couldn't find a better alternative with a minimalist white finish and respectable sound quality in this price range.

Good product ruined by bad QC and lack of support
I really liked the QR65 speakers and would have kept them if it weren't for quality control and support issues. Audio definition was really good to where hearing the crash of cymbals, the snap of a snare drum, and the sound of someone swiping down the bass guitar string on the fret board were a pleasure to notice. Bass reproduction is good and I never felt like I needed a subwoofer to round things out. The RGB lights are really gimmicky, but most of the customization options are available through their mobile app.The problem I experienced is that that the USB connection would randomly cut out at times. There would be a loud buzzing noise for several seconds, then the RGB lights would go dark, and then it seemed like the speakers would reboot themselves. Unfortunately my computer would no longer detect the QR65 as a sound output until I did a hard power cycle of the speakers. I know the USB cable wasn't the problem because I used the same one from my previous PC speaker setup (Edifier G2000). FWIW, the bluetooth connection was flawless. In any case, I emailed Edifier support over a week ago but didn't get so much as an automated response. This poor experience is not very confidence inspiring particularly if I should need warranty support down the road. I would have considered trying another pair of speakers, but Amazon didn't give me the option to do an exchange and I got these when they were discounted by $100.
