This is a great, lightweight Easel Stand. Very well worth buying!
I bought this for my wife to hold her Flannelgraph Board (look it up if you don't know what it is) which she uses to teach Bible stories to children from 1st Grade through 5th Grade kids in an after school Bible class. The kids love the Flannelgraph Board because it is very old school. She loves this easel stand because of its light weight, adjustible legs to get the Board to the exact height she wants, easy assembly and disassembly and it has a vinyl case to put the whole thing into. The adjustible top clamp with the lower "tray" holds the Board securely. The clamps for the two sections on each leg that can be set to a length of your choice work have a lever to release the clamp that is easy to release but holds the leg extension in the position you want securely. The only problem she has found came when one of the kids was playing with the Easel Stand as she was packing her things up. The kid pulled the leg out too far and broke the plastic range limiter for one of the legs. Now she has to be careful with setting up that leg. I may be able to do something during Thanksgiving week when she won't be using it al all to repair the plastic range limiter. But when I looked at it after the problem occured I could not see a solution. Maybe with more time I can find a solution. But this IS a weak point in the design. But it is not a killer weakness. This is a great product and my wife would have me order it again if she needed another Easel Stand. She has been using this Stand once a week for many, many weeks.

It is what it is.
I havnt had time to review this as I’ve been out of town, but here’s my overall review; 5 stars because it’s easy to assemble. You literally just unfold it. It’s not like a tripod it’s more of a metal rods and a elastic? 1 star on sturdiness as the arms that hold up the canvas or frame are very small and doesn’t let the item sit flush. 1 star on it being very light. I was literally propping it up to see how it looked and it tilt over and broke my welcome wedding frame. It was anchored into the floor and was being held by some cement blocks. Overall, I’d you’re looking to something with a wide canvas, the arm support it has might to be it. If you’re planning on having an outdoor event you might want to anchor it down well. It’s very flimsy and will tip over. Also, the legs don’t open out too much and it stands very narrow up. I would totally recommend this for an indoor event. Thankfully we had made 3 other signs and we were able to replace the one that broke.

Descent but not sturdy enough for me
Not as sturdy as expected. May work fine for something realy lightweight. Easy to fold up and carry though.

Lightweight, high quality, and so many uses!
We picked these up to use as display easels for since big announcements at our business's second anniversary celebration. They are light and very compact--super easy to transport! They held 20" x 30" board prints for us, in both orientations (portrait and landscape). While we primarily picked them up for our anniversary "big reveals", it was immediately obvious that we'll get a lot of use from these in the future. This weekend, we'll have them on the sidewalk during a community festival. When we get into our new space, we'll use one of them near to door to showcase specials and promotions. Another will be used to direct event attendees to a check-in station in toward the rear of the store. The adjustable length legs mean you can use them on uneven ground, and even use them in the collapsed position for tabletop display. I'm definitely going to be picking up one of these for my personal use at home, for an acrylic painting hobby. Definitely a great value. If you're looking for an affordable quality easel, look no further. You found it.

Wow, a Nice Quality Piece
Using this for Pictionary at an upcoming family birthday party and bought it together with a 24x18 black framed dry erase board (Quartet, Dry Erase, Magnetic Board for $12 on Amazon). So, for less than $35, I have a great easel and drawing board that is both attractive and practical. Based on mixed reviews, I expected this might be a pain to assemble and not user friendly. But, to the contrary. It's fully pre-assembled except for the base that holds the bottom of your frame/canvas. And, I was bowled over by how well-engineered it is. There are 2 sets of recessed leg extensions in the 3 legs, telescoping style, and each extension is fixed or released by a flip-style lock that is plastic but seems plenty durable. The legs extended and contracted smoothly and I had zero trouble getting them to extend the same distance, because you can extend them in a straight parallel position first and verify by eye, before you splay the tripod. The top vertical bar (to support your frame in back) has a similar extension mechanism, but not telescoping, and a spring-styled clip that can be locked after you secure your item. Attaching the bar and deciding the height to screw it in was the most challenging, but after a couple trials and errors, also perfect. I could see the screws/stoppers stripping if you over-tighten, so take care on that score or have extras on hand. The feet and their adjustable angles are perfect for stabilizing this. With all its good engineering and stability, it's still a light-weight aluminum stand, so it will do better when treated carefully and not knocked around. Overall, there is a ton of adjustment available and easy to accomplish. If you are using the same frame/canvas and just want to adjust height, it's a snap, a matter of a minute or 2 to adjust the 3 legs. If you are swapping to a different canvas, it will be more effort to adjust height and the orientation of the bar, to ensure a good fit for your new piece. But, being versatile is hardly a negative. The ease with which the whole thing collapses and stores in the perfect zipper bag with a shoulder strap is another impressive feature. I expected so much less for $20 and got an incredibly quality piece that serves my current needs and will serve more. I'm a very rare reviewer, takes a lot to impress, so factor that into your appraisal of this item.
