Picked up this pair of media converters and they’ve been flawless. The metal housing feels sturdy and stays cool. Setup was true plug-and-play: dropped in a couple of 1G SFPs and the links came up instantly at gigabit. Auto-negotiation works as expected, and jumbo frames are supported. For the price, it’s kind of a no-brainer they just do the job and disappear into the rack. Pros: • Solid metal build • Plug-and-play, stable link • Works with standard 1G SFP modules • Excellent price-to-performance

TlDr: Compatible with Bell's removable SFP module used in Home Hub 3000. (Up to 1000 Mbs, I think). I'm getting around 900 Mbs, on a 1000 Mbs contract. I'm in Quebec, not sure about other provinces. I (and many others) use Bell's Fibe service for internet, but have our own home networks with our own routers, access points, MESH devices, etc. We don't want to use Bell's Home Hub 3000 - our own equipment is more configurable, we control when updates are applied, etc. This Media Converter (SFC-to-RJ45) works well to take the removable SFP module from Bell's HH3000, and convert that signal to an RJ45, that feeds directly into your own router RJ45 WAN port. I did this 6 years ago using another Media Converter, but it died a few days ago. This is a compatible replacement.

These work great, no configuration needed. Thanks!

I tried this set of media converters out on a 500 foot segment pair of fiber cables equipped with ST connectors. Ethernet connected at 1GB and the data throughput from wired LAN to wired LAN was seamless with no loss observed. My only complaint is that the units lack some type of rubber feet and/or mounting method to avoid the boxes scooting about. Also, while I appreciate that 12VDC power adapters are included for both converters, the cord length is less than 3 feet. The length is fine as long as you have an AC source very close to your location for the media converters. I am very happy with the speed and reliability so far with these converters. Recommended.
