I purchased these lights to mount of the back of the house in an area that the porch light won't reach! I like to sit out back at night, and BBQ, and look at the stars, and sit by the fire pit! These lights will allow me to light up the area when I want light. With the remote, I can turn the lights on, and have them stay on when I need to see what I'm doing, and then turn them off to enjoy the stars!!! Then I can set them to turn on if an intruder enters the area. Since I live in the middle of nowhere, about the only intruders I see are rabbits, deer, and an occasional possum.... I read almost every review before I purchased these lights, and looked at all of the pictures! Ok, I saw about six reviews with pictures that showed that water had gotten into some of the light heads, and caused them to malfunction... I think I have solved this problem!!! I inspected the lights upon arrival and they looked well made, but I noticed that there were rough edges on the clear plastic covers for each head. If you have ever built a model car, or other plastic model, you will have to separate the parts from what they call a tree, and then put them together! Ok, with that said, I went to ACE hardware and purchased a tube of indoor/outdoor clear silicone caulking, and tediously ran a small bead all along the edges of the light heads, and around the motion sensor. I will do the solar panel next, just in case! If you do this before you install them, I believe that you will not have to worry about water getting into the lights!!! I am letting the silicone cure for 24 hours before I install them. I let them charge up for 2 days before I tested them, and they worked just like advertised!!! I think that these lights will provide years of service, and I can't wait to start using them... I like to take my dog out late at night, and it will be nice to have the automatic light so we can see the area!!! Hey, it might be a little more work than you want to do by using Silicone to seal the edges, but in the long run it will be worth it, and you won't waste your hard earned money on something that might develop problems later!!! I hope that this helps you in your decision to purchase these lights!!! They are very bright, and will serve my purpose well!!! You know, now days products are made cheaper, and sometimes you don't know how well something will work, or for how long!!! If you do what I did, I can almost assure you that you will have no problems with these lights, and you will get years of use from them without problems!!! Good Luck!!!

I bought this after a neighbor showed me a video of someone trying to open their car doors at night. They have a floodlight with a camera. The camera showed that once the motion sensor flipped the light on, the bandits turned and ran. This light works great. The motion sensor is sensitive enough to pick up movement from at least 20 to 25 feet away and the light is bright enough to light up the length of our driveway. We have 2 SUV's parked in out single wide driveway, both are illuminated. It goes up in a snap! There is a QR code on the inside box lid that takes you to a quick video on the installation and functions of the remote. Very happy with my purchase!! I would give it 5 stars, but I want to see well the solar panel works.

The electrician installed two of these above my outdoor workbench/potting bench. They continue to work even after a torrential downpour. The light is bright enough for us to have dinner on our workbench. They were quick and easy to install. I am very glad my neighbors do not have a bedroom window on that side of the house because these lights stay on all night, and have become a great deterrent to anyone thinking they could come around when it gets dark especially if we are away for the weekend. Great purchase. Good bargain. My 10 foot workbench is bright, making it easy to work even after dark.

This unit is BRIGHT! This thing is a vast improvement ... much wider and more consistent coverage area, great range on the motion sensor.No-brainer to install, works great, shines bright, motion detection is very good, These lights were originally installed in the soffit on the corners of the porch to illuminate the front and sides of the yard. I can see every inch of my yard. The motion sensors work well, I'm impressed with how bright the LEDs are. I am able to see the dogs very good at night. I also like the setting dusk to dawn. You are able to set it to stay on at all times just at a dimmer light u too it detects motion then it gets super bright again. Just what I needed, and with remote control, Perfectly!

2 mounted to house in unobstructed spots, they get plenty of sunlight. They rarely work - meaning rarely does the motion light activate and when they light up, the amount of light is minimal. I have years older solar/motion lights that work much-much better. I wish I could return these. Go to big box store for your lights. If they can’t run for short periods when outside, they have become worthless. They are easy to mount, which is a good feature for taking down and putting in garbage.

I purchased this light in 2022. It lasted about 3 years before it stopped working. The plastic over the solar panel became hazy and rough likely decreasing the ability to charge the battery. The install was easy but it wasn’t able to survive the seasons in the Northeast.

I was amazed at how bright they actually are. We don’t have a light in our backyard and has no outlet to connect one so it’s sort of dark, so I thought this would help and it did. This lights up our entire back yard with solar charging. The motion detection is good...the far side of the back yard is a stretch for motion detection, but that’s a pretty good distance. It has also multiple levels to adjust brightness using the remote. Each light has 5 adjustable lights, and you can adjust the motion sensor too. Charges all day and goes off with any movement within the wide zone in the evening. Installation was very simple and easy. I will buy more of these for different areas around the perimeter of the house.
