I've owned a bunch of headlamps in the past and this one finally checks all the boxes. A flood light (CSP2323 5000k), a spot light (SST40 6000k), and a red light (HFL1-R) all in one. Plus it's rechargeable with the provided USB-C cord so you never have to swap batteries. It's comfortable to wear and feels lightweight. The headband clips the light in for a sturdy hold but you can easily pop the flashlight out to hold in your hand or attach it to something with it's strong magnetic tailcap. Light output tops out at 2100 lumens which is way more than you really need for everyday tasks. Thankfully the UI is very intuitive and you can select between moonlight, low, high and turbo in each mode. Flood for broad lighting up close and spot for a decent hotspot at some distance. I also enjoy the 4 click lockout feature, useful when you stuff the light in a bag and don't want it turning on by accident. I think Sofirn hit it out of the park with this headlamp.

Bright and easy to use with the switch in a well placed thumb friendly position if used in hand. Battery life is great with high capacity 18650 batteries. Very functional and comfortable to hold or mount via the included head strap. Love that I can double press the switch to go straight to max output if necessary.

I’ve owned quite a few Sofirn’s at this point, so I know they are quality flashlights at an excellant price point. This is my first headlamp, it’s very bright and functional with the different light options (triple emitter, large single emitter, both single and triple, and then the red light. Also comes with a quick activated strobe, USB-C charging port and comfortable head harness. The light rotates on the harness easily and adjusts conveniently to where you want it. Lightweight, ergonomic, and a blast to use! A+ once again from Sofirn

Light weight and quite bright. The moonlight mode is perfect for reading inside of a tent so as not to disturb others. High and turbo modes are very bright.

Tengan cuidado con el modo ultra de iluminación, iba en un vuelo y por el cambio de presión se comprimió el el espacio del botón de encendido al este estar sellado,, esto ocasiono que se encendiera (a pesar de estar bloqueado) y que quemara la HeadBand, la llevaba al lado. Recomiendo bloquearlo en el modo de iluminacion roja y con la menor intensidad posible para evitar este tipo de accidentes. A parte de esto, muy buena compra, la utilizo para hiking y escalada, ha aguantado los golpes y la lluvia

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this headlamp it is super bright like amazingly bright and it is a hand held flashlight as well Battery life: The battery life is the best I’ve seen in a head lamp and I have had dozens of them in my life and run them long hours in the woods and this is one of the few I can run in the morning then still be able to use it that same night with out charging

I lost my skillhunt HO4 & decided to try something a little bit cheaper… Really glad I went with this light. I like the tint of these LEDS a lot, not too blue or anything. Love all the modes theyre all useful and the red LED mode is also bright & has good beam/throw. All light modes have good beams/throw. Light is super bright. Spot beam shines super far. I was iffy on the sofirn brand when i ordered- a year ago when me and my brother decided to buy some right angle headlamps I ordered a skillhunt and my bro orders the sofirns. The skillhunt was expensive but a 10/10. The sofirns were cheaper but more ugly and Chinesey quality. He actually ordered 3 and only 2 worked… But I have to say fast forward a year and sofirn has stepped it up a lot. This HS42 doesnt feel chinesey at all and build quality/style actually feels on par with the more high end skillhunt. Magnet on this one is stronger than my old skillhunt Only negative i can find is this light doesnt have a beacon mode where the button blinks when the flashlight is locked out. Better not miss-place it in the dark. My old skillhunt had that feature and I came to really like it… At the end of the day I actually prefer this light over my old HO4 and I really loved that flashlight… add the cheaper price of this light and its a no brainer…

I really like this flashlight, it's a great allrounder. I like that all modes have a moonlight option including the red, and all have turbo which is consistent. I really like the flood and spotlight integration, this means you can use it in many different scenarios making it very versatile. having both pointing in the same direction gives nice versatility. Maybe a better UI (two buttons?) could really help it and an added clip would be nice. Also I don't know how the front glass will do but a front metal lip could add some protection. The headband is great and you can easily remove the top part of it should you want to. All in all 5/5. I might get another but these updates would be nice.

Premessa : Sono oltre 30 anni che colleziono torce ( da quando quelle a led non esistevano ) sopratutto EDC. Quello che vi posso dire è che questa torcia ha un rapporto qualità/prezzo molto , molto elevato. Interfaccia utente perfetta ed intuitiva con scorciatoie per turbo e moon-mode. Qualità costruttiva al top. Corredo completo , ricarica USB-c on board. Mantenimento della modalità High per due ore perfettamente regolata. Si possono usare contemporaneamente i led flood più quello di profondità ( come la Wurkkos HD15 ) Non riesco a trovargli un difetto. (NB Come tutte le mie torce me la sono pagata )

Es potente, tiene diversas posiciones. Blanca, blanca intensa, roja intermitente y roja fija. Es un poco lio poner la que toca porque hay que pulsar, una o dos veces seguidas y con diferentes intensidades. Pero bueno, no hay problema, te acostumbras y vas cogiendo el punto. Las cintas de la cabeza se ajustan a cada cabeza. Ya haremos actualización de su duración. Tiene un enganche para bolsillo o mochila que es un detalle por si quieres cambiar la linterna a otro sitio que no sea la cabeza. Saludos.
