With my previous Merrell Intercept shoes, which had lasted me a number of years and had been heavily abused/worn down, I was so impressed with how sturdy/comfortable they were that I decided to trust the brand and get a new pair of Merrell shoes.I am extremely glad I did - I've only worn them for a day but they are so, so comfortable and built like miniature tanks. I'm sure they will last me as long if not longer than the others and I am now pretty much a Merell fanboy! Time will tell though.Like my previous shoes, I'll be wearing these every day other than for work as I find these shoes give the best all-round performance for every day life. The brown also goes well with pretty much any casual wear so I don't have to worry about that either!I really recommend these, it's clear that these are top quality shoes and built to last.

These shoes are excellent quality and would always recommend them. One word of caution if like me you are buying from an American source. If so their sizing is different to the UK.

Good solid feeling shoe and great grip on muddy wet terrain.

I already have this model shoe in size 9 from two years ago and I have been delighted. But one of the insoles wore out and, annoyingly, Merrell UK do not supply replacements although they do in the US. So I decided to buy a new pair of shoes - same model same size. Now I always take size 8 in other brands of shoes but when I bought my first pair I sized up to a 9 in accordance with the general advice in reviews. Perfect! I have loved them. But this new pair in size 9 for some reason must be subtly different because they are tight in the toe box. So, back they go. Merrell really need to sort their sizing out.

These are very comfortable shoes that fit well and look well made but.....The Vibram sole gives good grip and impact absorbency but it's very slippy on wet surfaces.But the most disappointing thing is that these shoes are advertised as waterproof. These shoes are definitely NOT Waterproof. They are as waterproof as a pair of Jesus sandalsWorn twice in the dry and today in the rain and my feet are wet. Walking on very short grass as I walked the dog I could feel the cold of the water on my feet. On returning home and removing the shoes my socks were soaking, especially around my toes.Very disappointed with these and with Merrell.

Only one issue it your a uk size10 get a 10.5 for prefect fit

Fits my feet very well which are thin but wide at the front toe area. Soft and comfortable with great grip in the dry. However I did slip a bit on wet smooth hard ground where I didn't slip when wearing harder, tougher soled walking shoes in the past. Perhaps this was because they were new but the squishy soles at least are springy and comfortable. Good value on amazon and light shoes. I will wear them most days so I'm concerned if they will look as smart in a years time as the leather is quite soft but I am very happy with them right now.

Bought these shoes for work which involves quite a bit of walking and climbing in and out of small aircraft. They look very professional and provide the usual comfort and fit that I have come to expect and appreciate in similar Merrell shoes.

Great for the price

This is the second pair of this shoe that I have purchased. This pair feels even more comfortable than the first pair. I use these as my all-the-time casual shoe during the cooler months (I tend to wear good tennis type running shoes during shorts weather). They have a reasonable sturdy sole which makes them good for either casual use or for walking on easy trails. The design does not include ankle support, so I do not use these for rough trails. I like the color, and the fit for me is great. I have a narrow foot, so this shoe fits me better than many, certainly better than a Rockport, for instance. I had a Red Wing shoe that I had hopes for, but it was too stiff and was never comfortable to wear. These Merrill shoes were very comfortable right out of the box.

These are the best work shoes I've ever had. I can be on my feet all day and it doesn't hurt nearly as much as my previous footwear. Light and comfortable.
