Bought this a few months ago, I love it I was finally getting my own stuff to decorate my living room how I want to, for the first time ! Had a hard life but here I am, I got a house, I'm getting my mental health together , and sober for 5 yrs ! So I want to have this 70s retro living room, because it reminds me of my grandma 🖤 But well......I got a cat.......it has destroyed my whole house....it's no "cat" , it's more like a damn ferret Anyway I left for 15 mins and come back to this MESS That I will cry about for the rest of the day Ok, this is like a trauma dump and not a review But all that to say, I was so excited to start decorating my own house , and that was the first item I got to start putting it together It's an awesome lamp ! If you're looking for this retro style, I would say get it ! But also, just a warning, don't put it on any surface that your animals might jump on or bump into Sounds pretty obvious but I moved it to a dif room and left for 15 mins and this is what happened lol Just so y'all can see the way it shatters too It is mostly one big piece, but there is a lot of little ones too Don't mind the floor, like I said, this cat has destroyed everything lol But over all I loved it and will try to get a new one when I can !

This will be as cool as you think it is not cheap. Not lightweight. Really warm ambient glow. Not a task light, just a glowy vibe.

I bought this lamp to put on the kitchen countertop to illuminate the kitchen at night and it does a fabulous job and gives a warm amber glow which is very easy on the eyes and the lamp is very stylish looking in the day or the night. Absolutely love it

Lamp looks cool in a retro 60s/70s way, but simple and modern enough to rise above kitsch. (So it's not like a lava lamp in that way, though it would look very cool WiTH a lava lamp.) Nice at night, but also for mood lighting in daytime, brightens a corner for soft bounced light, very effective. I could see this used in ALL KINDS of commercial & office settings as well as homes. The base with the oval slats is a nice classic touch. CAVEAT: One caution for reason for which I deleted a star, if you pivot the lamp inside the base without lifting it slightly, the base can scratch the round surface - which it did. It's still fine with the scratches unseen at bottom, but it ain't a plus, and surprising since the round design resembles globes & other knick knacks designed exactly for rolling in place to position - for light effect, or when kids likely play around with this fun looking chachkie. A bit of electrical tape or some such applied evenly around the ridge should correct the oversight if willing.

This lamp is gorgeous and fits very well with retro or midcentury modern decor. It looks expensive without actually being so. One caveat-- the corncob LED bulb that comes with this light makes an unattractive pattern on the white frosted area of the glass lamp shade. It doesn't look like a smooth, uninterrupted field of light with the included bulb (you can see a star-like pattern in the center of the frosted glass). I remedied this by installing a dimmable frosted globe bulb, and it fixed the issue. If you want to order a different bulb for this table lamp, it takes a European E14 bulb base (not an American E12 candelabra base).
