Read this graphic novel today. It has some great examples on how to help people with selective mutism. A big one is to not stop talking to them or asking them questions. Another is to not speak for them.Some kids are not just shy. If your child doesn’t speak in certain situations, you should look into selective mutism. This doesn’t have to last forever and if they truly have selective mutism, it isn’t something kids just grow out of. My granddaughter LOVES these books (and so do I!) The author is my cousin, which makes it even more fun. Highly recommend!

This is such a fantastic book! My daughter and I read it, and we could really feel how much love and effort went into every page. The art is beautiful, and the story totally pulled us in.It’s super relatable—especially for kids dealing with anxiety, but honestly, even I connected with it as an adult.We’re both huge fans of Mira now—she’s such a memorable character. My daughter and I both highly recommend it—it’s a must-read!

A touching and fun graphic novel about a girl with selective mutism and how she learns to deal with it and life in middle school. The art and coloring are wonderful!

I bought Speechless 2 weeks ago and my 6yo read it 9x aldy! She loves all Aron's book so much, and because of it, I bought Speechless. Only Aron's book keep her captivated in the story. Great book, amazing author. We can't wait for the new release next June on Mr Wolf.

This book may be very long but it really changes my perspective to other people a great book for 3rd-8th graders because it has so much character. When I started reading the book I couldn’t just stop like, it was so addicting. Aron Nels Steinke is a good author because Mr Wolf’s Class is really realistic too, and also change my perspective.
