Perfect for 4th grade
My 9-year-old is currently in 4th grade and is doing more of a triple digit math and has had some trouble when it comes to borrowing and carrying. So I got this sad to help him out and I really like how it gives you lots of chips to help with the math portion and really visualizing the problem. It's also great that these are magnetic because we can display them on our metal fire door that's near our kitchen table and don't have to worry about the chips falling all the timer sliding off. Honestly my only complaint would be that I wish it had more digits going to the thousands for working with. It does help when it is dealing with just saying larger numbers but not with the math portion. However it is best to help them crawl before they can walk and everything worked great from the dry erase markers to the magnetic chips and board.

Unique & excellent tool for early math learners
I feel like every grade school in the country should have this tool. It is certainly a great way to demonstrate the basics of our base 10 number system and how to make the numbers add up...or not! Because it can focus on adding and subtracting up to 3 digit numbers it is good right up through third grade. Perfect for those homeschooling small groups or a single child. The design of the pieces and the magnetic number discs is very clever as you can use them just about anywhere and the inclusion of a separate header for column values really helps clarify the values. While most of this is self explanatory and no higher math is involved...there are no real instructions beyond the illustrations and something as a video link for parents to watch would be a helpful inclusion to insure best use of the tools.Excellent product.

Easy to use set
We use this place value chart for homeschool. It is easy for my son to show his work and then do the addition or subtraction problem on the side. He is able to double check his work because he has the ones tens and hundreds right there. The magnets are strong and hold on to the chart. They are durable and easy to pop out. I feel like this set is a very good value and will be useful in our homeschool as other kids will need to use it as well in the years to come.

Great for Math Lessons
This is a great tool for teaching students to add or subtract with regrouping. I like that it is large and it gives students the opportunities to manipulate the concept.

Helpful math set
This is a great math set. Everything feels sturdy and durable. Everything is magnetic, so while you can use on a table/floor, you can also put it up on a whiteboard/fridge. The 2 mats have options for math practice on both sides. Also included is a little bag to hold the round chips, 2 dry erase pens, a dry eraser, and a wipe cloth. I'm looking forward to using this for math tutoring.

Perfect visuals for adding large numbers
This math set is fantastic, the board and pieces are sturdy. All the components are magnetic, allowing the kids to use them on the provided magnetic place value chart, as well as on a whiteboard or fridge. The two mats offer math practice options on both sides, providing great versatility. It comes with a handy bag to store the round chips, along with two dry erase pens, an eraser, and a cleaning cloth. It has been great for second grade as we are learning to do 3 digit addition which can get confusing - having visuals is perfect!

Strong Magnets
This math regrouping chart is magnetic. You can hang it on a metal door, the refrigerator, etc or can just lay out on a desk too. I wish the charts were laid out differently, maybe horizontally, to match the way math regrouping charts look in our math curriculum. Overall, this is a fun, interactive way to get kids thinking about how math works, especially as you start working with larger numbers.

Great addition (heh) to math class
This is great for some variety with my class of third and fourth grade students. They are on a lower level, and they do so well with things like this that get them hands-on involvement. Love this activity, and I can see it becoming a classroom favorite!

Super resource for working with Hundreds, tens and units
This is a great set for teaching addition , subtraction and working with hundreds, tens and units. It is a great visual aid and the children can easily move the magnetic pieces to the correct place value column. The boards are quite thick. The magnetic numbers do stick on them when the board is held both vertically and horizontally but the magnetic hold is not super strong and the numbers would fall if bumped. Love the little bag to hold the counters in. The counters are hard foam with the magnetic layer on one side. Great to use for home schooling, in the classroom , tutoring or just helping with homework.

Impressive.
This item was selling for £24.99 when I requested it for 2 of my grandchildren, who are age 7 and 5. There is currently a 10% off voucher available.I’m really impressed with this kit. I wish activity sets like this were available when I was at school; I might not have ended up being dyscalculate. The item arrived in a big flattish box, with a choking hazard warning on the back. The resources are versatile and very child friendly. This kit is very well suited to helping children develop basic maths skills at home. It’s also a good resource for tutors. My one reservation is whether it dovetails with schools’ methodology and maths specifications. It’s probably worth checking with the teacher to prevent confusion.
