Maxell CR2025 – 3 V Lithium Battery – CR2025 Button Cell Battery (Pack of 5)

After having tried 2 brand new Duracell 2025 batteries and neither operating my car properly(locking/unlocking doors) I took my key fob to a car key man fearing I’d have to fork out for a new key! He took out my brand new Duracell battery and threw it in the bin, replacing it with one of his batteries and I was speechless when he opened my doors and closed them again instantly!!! On asking him what battery he’d used he said Maxell…..unreal really as these are a cheaper brand than what I’d previously tried! I bought these to fit one in my spare key too and it worked straight away, no programming or resetting needed! Awesome! Maxell all the way from now on!Golf Mark 7 2015 plate if this helps you.

The manufacturer's web site states 10 years shelf life for this product. The marking on the battery itself in black ink includes two digits denoting year and month of fabrication. The batteries I received were marked as 26, year code "2" meaning 2022, and the month code "6" whatever it means (a single digit can't exceed 9, and I saw only 1...6 when searching google images), probably pairs of months. So, the marking 26 means end of 2022, i.e. less that two years old while shelf life is 10 years. Good!The photo in the listing, by the way, reads 84, i.e. 2018, which is inaccurate and may deter customers. However, these photos are not meant to be accurate. It was probably taken from a fresh pack when the listing started in 2019.Happy customer!
