Faster than my old card
Does a great job. I’ve been using a similar one of these with two ports for many years. The older model did about 400 Mb per second. This one with the same hard drives give me over 500 per second consistently. Not bad!

Would Recommend.
Exactly what I needed. Added this to run a drive pool on a windows 10 Plex server and it worked as expected adding to the existing 6 MB SATA slots for a total of 10. Fast and reliable for my needs. I would recommend. Simply install and setup.

It worked with no effort
Note: The only reason I gave a 4 star is because the Intel Smart Connect service stopped working as soon as I installed this card. It was flashing a yellow exclamation in my systray. I do not know if that is the fault of this adapter because after all, Intel Smart Connect is discontinued anyway. Since I don't let my PC go to sleep, Smart Connect is not needed. So I just uninstalled it. As far as this SA3034A adapter, Windows 10 just picked it up and it works. But I only bought it to connect one data drive, I'm not running raid. My OS drive is plugged into the controllers on the mother board. I think that is where most people run into issues with all these different brands - they're running the OS drive off the 3rd party adapters. It's a hit or miss when you start running something outside of the controllers that come on the MB.

Happy with this purchase
I chose this item because it's one of the few that are built with an X4 connection, which I expect to give me better throughput than the X1 connections that most of them have.I was pleasantly surprised to find that the cables it came with were all 18". In the product photo they look rather stubby, but actually they were of a usable length.

Good Product, Good Price!
This card gave me the extra SATA ports I needed for a particular TrueNAS build I was putting together. It worked without an issue, and having extra power/data cords in the package was very handy.

It Works Just As Described
It works like a charm! A real plug and play product, I just installed it into one of my PC's ports, connected the SATA cable to the card and the hard disk, turned the PC on and I was done!

Works but fitment is poor.
Got it yesterday. While the item works and is registering all the drives. The fit is a problem. I had to unscrew one of the bolts completely so it can slot in the PCI slot and for it to be bracketed on the case. If you don't take off one of the screws and you bolt the card to the case, the card won't sit flush in the PCI slot.
