It's a slow jack but does a better job than a bottle jack or any scissor jack, without any effort. I love that I don't have to put any effort to lift the car and can just plug it into the cigarette lighter of the car. Most of it is made of plastic, but the bottom is made of metal to keep the integrity as it lifts the car. Edit: It's been several months later, and I felt that, due to an issue, I should add to the review. (Not much of an issue) After use a few times, the car socket stopped functioning because it blew the fuse. It's a 15-amp fuse so whatever this had been drawing was more than that apparently at some point. I would check and make sure your outlet can draw enough amps without the fuse popping. Other than that, the jack still works exactly as if it were new.

Works slowly but perfectly well. I tried it with my son in law showing me where to set it up. I bought in case AAA can’t locate me. Which has actually happened.

Works as described. However, there are two things to watch out for: it consumes a lot of battery power, which can fully drain your car battery, and when used on an inclined surface, the jack tipped over midway while lifting the car. This issue should be improved to prevent such incidents.

I bought 5 ton battery operated jack. All I was lifting was an empty pick up truck working on the brakes. The Jack collapsed and the truck fell on top of me had to be rushed to the hospital. The bottom casing of the Jack opened up. This is not a 5 ton Jack.
