If I could, I would marry this pen.
Uniball Signo 0.28mm pen (also available in 0.38mm)I've used all kinds of pens over 65 years for writing, drawing and sketching. About 10 years ago I got my first Uni-ball Signo Dx 0.28 Um-151 Gel Ink Pen. They may be slightly hard to find, I get mine from Amazon, currently 10 for $15.37, w free returns and free shipping with Amazon prime. This is easily the most perfect inexpensive pen I've ever used. In fact, I don't think that there even exists an expensive version of this pen that can do what this make and brand does and do it, well.... absolutely perfectly.I'll go into just some of the ways they are wonderful in a minute, but here's one more thing about COST. You will need a pack of 10 of these ONLY because, once in a while, you will give one to a friend (everyone loves them when they use one of mine) or you will lose one, or a borrowed one will not get returned. So the cost part is simply this, the pens are sturdy and you can buy REFILLS (Uni-Ball Signo Extra Fine Point Gel Pen Refills Black Ink 0.28 mm Set of 6 (Japan import)), currently 6 for $6.99, also returnable, also free shipping with Amazon Prime. If you live to be 100, you will have a lifetime supply for $125 in today's dollar. Frightening.OK, so these pens make a 0.28 mm line (about 0.01092"). Sounds too thin? It's not, you can write big or small, the super-consistent line is dark and beautiful, dries quickly and resists fading. I have not researched it much, but the pen is listed as acid-free and archival quality and I don't doubt it! Writing or drawing with these always delights me. Because the line is so thin, even with heavy use, the ink supply will last easily 1 to 4 months, and then you just need a refill. I can write a letter "a" or "o" under one mm high and it is easily legible from over three feet. You could write the Gettysburg Address, no problem, within 2.5 x 3 inches, including room for paragraph spacing and still have room to spare. This is a CAPPED pen, so the chances of one leaking into your suit or jacket pocket are close to zero, and the no-click mechanism means less can go wrong (nothing does, though). I don't believe that I've ever had even one issue with any of them. In about ten years, just counting the original as a refill, I buy a box of refills (6 to a pack) maybe 3 times in a decade of constant note taking. Granted, I use the computer much more now. That's under $2.00 a year. They are listed as "waterproof, fade-resistant, and feather-resistant," and it is true. Today, the best Japanese, South Korean, Chinese and (even) American goods are so good, it's insane. Speaking of which, so are Apple products. Modern technology means that if you want to make anything to incredibly high tolerances, you can do so, and in most cases, make them inexpensively, the technology is there. Think about a car, with parts moving thousands of times a minute and going 300,000 miles without ever having to rebuild the engine! Even saying that sounds impossible. I'll stop now, but I could go on about how much I love these pens. Also availableThis is a crazy world with much suffering and the genuine possibility that we'll blow ourselves up or tank the ozone. So it's nice to have things you can count on that work so well for so little. Too bad we can't do the same with how we treat eachother and our precious planet.

I love these pens
I have ordered these pens twice and would order them again. Great for detailed drawings.

A very fine line.
A great pen from Japan, the thin 0.28 is good for writing small if you like. The 0.38 is very good also. These are great pens from Japan, that's all I use.Made by the Mitsubishi Pencil Company. They are all good for writing out checks along with the 207 pen. Big plus is the price!

Awful packaging
Uniball Signo is my favorite brand of pen and the only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the packaging and how it arrived. The packaging appears to have been a returned item with masking-type tape on both ends. It was open and two pens exposed. I know they are hard to find in the USA and it took a while to get. If you know it's taking international shipping that will take a beating, pack with better care, please. I feel lucky they didn't break and have ink all over the inside. After all that they appear to be working well and no issues with the two I tried after seeing this.

GREAT PENS!
These pens are absolutely fabulous. And here's why.1.) They have the least bleed-through I've ever seen on a gel pen. It's hardly noticeable. Don't get me wrong, it's there, but it's so un-noticable, even on thin notebook paper.2.) The tip is so fine! It's great for drawing, sketching, writing, you name it. The tip is very small. If you're a big writer like I am, your writing will look half as large because this pen is so fine. Personally, I like that kind of thing.3.) They feel nice in your hand. They're just...comfortable.5.) They are completely water-induced bleed proof (a.k.a. if you spill water on your paper, you will be able to see the writing perfectly clear. I have done watercolor with these pens. No bleed.6.) They dry super quickly so there is no chance of smudging. Not even if you have clammy hands. That ink isn't going anywhere. The only thing negative I have to say about these pens is that because the tip is so fine, it writes a little bit scratchy. I don't mean that the writing itself is messy, the ink flows very nicely without stopping. What I mean to say is that it literally makes a small scratching noise as it moves across the paper because the tip is so fine. I don't mind this, but..other people might. I COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!OH. AND. The shipping was super quick too. It came about 4 days earlier than it was predicted. I just got standard shipping and it came a couple days early. ENJOY!

What I’m Looking For In A Pen
I’m a nurse and writing is a big part of my job and I’ve always been picky with the type of pen I use. I’ve experimented and bought many pens seeing which ones work for me and I finally found the best for me. I like how fine the pen is and how it allows me to use a gel pen without having to worry about bleeding through the paper (which is the reason why the nurses at my facility are told not to use gel pens). It’s easy for me to write quickly and yet still be very readable. If you’re picky about what pen to use try this and maybe you’ll find it’s the one for you.
