Decks / Stairs
I have used this on various decks for the handrail. I buy this in the bulk spool for the cost savings and for making custom lengths. It cuts nice and is easy to string through holes drilled into the posts. I like to use the product thoroughly before submitting any reviews to ensure an honest evaluation.

Freaking love it
So many uses. Prepper or whatever this is quality cable all together. I'm using it for tie downs for kids outdoor equipment and a string line for my garden. As well as for prepper needs and security. Best buy so far in 2023.

Really no stars. Supposedly stainless. Is very very rusty one year later! Don’t buy this!

Worked well, good quality
I'm satisfied. I've had it installed outside for about a month and it's performing nicely. No rust or corrosion, and the connections remain solid. Good value.

A very high-quality 7-strand, T316 stainless steel for a cable railing or other projects …
I do have what I’d call a wish book, the Black & Decker Complete Guide to Decks. It’s the updated 7th edition and is a fabulous resource for anyone who is thinking about building a deck. One of the decks I’m looking at has a cable railing and calls for this type of cable. I was quite pleased with this cable when I opened the box. It’s a T316 stainless steel, which is quite strong, corrosion- and rust-resistant … exactly what one would want on any kind of cable railing. It’s comprised of a 7-strand braid, which is certainly a strong one. It’s a full 1/8” thick, which is also a plus. This cable can be used on or in other projects and isn’t just limited to decking. The price is more than reasonable at under $40 given the fact they even include a solid wire cutter.
